Does Britney Spears Have A Body Double? Singer Says The Photos Of Her On Social Media Are Fake
Britney Spears' Instagram account was promptly deleted after the singer claimed she had a body double.
On Wednesday night, paparazzi took photos of the singer leaving the Chateau Marmont after an ambulance was called to the hotel. It's unclear if officials were called for Spears, who was with Paul Richard Soliz, her former housekeeper.
Spears is seen walking barefoot with a brown blanket and a pillow partially covering her face. The "Toxic" singer did not get into the ambulance. According to ET, an eyewitness informed them that "Britney came out with Paul Richard Soliz and some others. Someone gave her a blanket to throw over and she had a pillow covering her front. She took a few steps and turned around and went back, not getting into the stretcher they had brought out." The witness claims that a woman in Spears' entourage was seen speaking to the paramedics.
Other outlets reported that Spears had a "worse mental and financial situation," and TMZ claims she got in a huge fight with her boyfriend and "ended up out of control." Spears took to Instagram to refute these allegations, stating that a body double was used for the photos circulating on social media.
"Just to let people know ... the news is fake !!!" she wrote in an Instagram post. "Most of the pics are body doubles and I think most know that !!! I would like respect at this time for people to understand I am getting stronger everyday !!! Truth sucks so can someone teach me how to lie ??? Goddesses out there, I'm reaching my higher power and furthermore, I hope you guys are too !!! I need a new toothbrush right now !!! PS … I need an espresso !!! PSS … Not sure why I feel the need to share this … I guess I'm just a girl and I'm on my period so I’m b**chy … sh*t."
Fans and journalist Liz Crokin noted that Spears's social media posts have always seemed edited and inauthentic. Is it possible that Spears is telling the truth?
"It was posted on Britney Spears’ Instagram today that the news is fake and that most people know that the photos of her are body doubles," Crokin wrote. "This post was quickly deleted. Spears’ does not control her social media which I laid out in Slave Princess. So anything posted on her socials should be taken with a grain of salt. However, it’s obvious that photos and videos posted of ‘Britney' on her social media and via media for many years now are doubles, CGI and/or old footage of potentially the real Britney."
She continued, "In most the videos, her voice, body, teeth among other things are different. Even her dancing is nowhere close to her dancing skills. Britney is an incredible dancer; the Britney we see twirling around into oblivion sucks at dancing. It’s not her — stop buying the lies and feeding into this blatant deception. So where is the real Britney Spears — is she even alive?"
A source close to singer Spears told CNN that the singer is now “home and safe” after the “major fight” with her boyfriend. Her Instagram is still deactivated.
