As a mom of two little ones, I can tell you that what I really want for Mother’s Day this year (aside from the luxury of sleeping in, of course) is a gift that will genuinely add value to my life – whether that’s by making it more efficient or by boosting my confidence.

Maybe I’m just not a flowers kind of girl. Although I think they’re beautiful and I’ll buy them for myself from Trader Joe’s once a month or so to brighten up my home, I can’t justify the overpriced bouquets from professional florists. Why pay $200 to get a bouquet that’s going to die within a week when I could have a timeless pair of Mary Janes that will last me a lifetime? So, since I’m married and, technically speaking, my husband’s money is also my money, I have made this distinction pretty well known. That means, though, when it’s time to “surprise” me with a gift for a special occasion like my birthday or Mother’s Day, he’s pretty much clueless as to what he should get me that I’ll genuinely cherish.

If, like me, you’ve made a habit of sending your husband direct links to gift ideas you like instead of leaving him guessing, you’re probably scratching your head around this time of year, thinking, “What do I even want?” If you haven’t been keeping a list (for me, screenshots are key), then my own personal list may just give you a few ideas! From super affordable parenting books I have on my TBR list to some high-end swimsuits that are no more than a pipedream, here is everything I’m eyeing for Mother’s Day this year!
