65 Office Essentials To Make Your Space More Feminine

Itching to brighten up your workspace? Considering the average person will spend one-third of their life at work, we certainly can’t blame you for wanting it to look and feel as joyful as possible.

While that stat may sound intimidating, as according to FreshBooks, “that’s roughly 90,000 hours at work over your lifetime,” there is a way to romanticize those hours spent and make them a little more enjoyable.

Next to your bedroom, your office space should be at the top of your list of priorities to personalize and make fit your desired mood. For me, that means my home office is bright, organized, and has feminine touches throughout. I chose the room in our house that has the most natural light and the best view of the outdoors, and ensured that the base of the room was entirely white before adding pops of color here and there. Since it’s not a huge space, I also designed it to be as efficient as possible (cue my under-the-desk treadmill that I’ll never stop talking about).

Now, I understand that not everyone works from home, so you may not have complete control over what your space initially looks like. However, most companies give their in-person employees at least a degree of freedom to decorate their desks and surrounding walls to their liking, which is where your creativity can come into play. Even if you aren’t allowed a walking pad, it’s likely that you are at least given the choice of using a standing desk or exercise ball to sit on, or a pretty tufted chair rather than the drab, black one they provide for everyone. Similarly, you can swap out your mousepad, your calendar, highlighters, and any other traditional office essentials provided to add a personal touch and a boost of serotonin to your brain.
