9 'Bachelor' And 'Bachelorette' Married Couples Who Are Still Going Strong
There’s speculation that many contestants of The Bachelor franchise go on the show to get famous and gain a following (which is somewhat true). However, although they are far and few between, there are a few couples who have left the show with a successful relationship.
I must admit that The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor In Paradise series have become pure entertainment for me. Something about the drama sucks me in. It’s obviously not the most conventional way to meet your spouse, but that seems to be one of the reasons that it’s so intriguing.
If you follow the show and the contestants, then you know it’s unlikely for the couples to stay together. They finally enter the real world, after vacationing in the most romantic parts of the world, and realize that without the romance and the cameras, life together isn’t what they expected. But not every finale couple who left the show engaged was a total disaster. There are a few who have gotten married and built a beautiful life together.
Here are 9 couples who won The Bachelorette, The Bachelor, or Bachelor in Paradise, actually got married, and are still together.
1. Sean & Catherine Lowe
This couple is, hands down, my favorite Bachelor couple. If you saw their season and follow their social media, they are witty, kind, and down-to-earth people. Sean started off as a contestant on The Bachelorette, but left the show as a single man. He then became The Bachelor in 2013, and proposed to Catherine. Both take their faith very seriously, and even waited to have sex until the wedding night. 10 years later, they are still happily married and have three children together.
2. Jason Mesnick & Molly Malaney
Bachelor of season 13, Jason Mesnick actually chose Melissa Rycroft as his winner, but shortly after the show realized he made a mistake. Jason proposed to runner-up Molly Malaney, and the two have been married ever since. They have one daughter together, and Jason has a son from a previous relationship. Don’t worry, Melissa is also now happily married and has three children.
3. Arie Luyendyk Jr. & Lauren Burnham
Following in the footsteps of Jason Mesnick, Season 22’s Arie Luyendyk Jr. is another controversial bachelor, as he also regretted his choice during the finale, and broke things off to be with Lauren Burnham, who was the runner-up. This all happened on camera, which was one of the reasons it was so intense for Bachelor fans. The couple got married in 2019, and now share three children, a daughter and a set of twins.
4. Jordan Rodgers & JoJo Fletcher
Season 12 Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher ended her season with Jordan Rodgers, the brother of quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Though the couple got engaged back in 2016, they didn’t get married until May 2022, due to the pandemic. But the couple is still going strong.
5. Jade Roper & Tanner Tolbert
This couple found each other on season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise. Both were in previous seasons of the franchise. After getting engaged in 2015, the couple got married on Valentine’s Day in 2016. They are happily married with three children.
6. Desiree Hartsock & Chris Siegfried
Season 9’s Bachelorette, Desiree Hartsock, was previously sent home on Sean Lowe’s season. In 2013, she got engaged to Chris Siegfried, and they wed two years later. They now share two children together, Asher and Zander.
7. Trista Rehn & Ryan Sutter
Trista was the OG of bachelorettes, as she was from season 1 of The Bachelorette in 2003. She chose Ryan Sutter as her winner and accepted his proposal. They got married the same year, and now 20 years later, they are still married with two children.
8. Rachel Lindsay & Bryan Abasolo
Rachel Lindsay was the bachelorette of season 13. She started out as a fan-favorite, but later became more disliked as she called the Bachelor franchise to fire its long-time host Chris Harrison on her podcast, for his remarks defending a contestant over controversial matters. The franchise has since become more politically driven and lost many viewers. Nevertheless, Rachel Lindsay did find love on her season, with Bryan Abasolo. They eventually wed in a private ceremony in 2019.
9. Jared Haibon & Ashley Iaconetti
Another Bachelor in Paradise couple, Jared and Ashley, had a rough journey getting to each other. They dated on the show, but didn’t officially get engaged until 2018. They got married the following year. They now share a son who was born in 2022.
Closing Thoughts
Maybe you recognize several of these couples if you watch the show. It’s wholesome to see that some of these relationships that started so rocky or dramatically have come out on the other side so strong. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend finding love this way, but I am glad to see that it worked out for a few of them. Now they have such an interesting story to tell their children one day!
