Ariana Grande is finally speaking up about Quiet on Set and being a child star at Nickelodeon.

It's been months since ID's docuseries revealed the sexual abuse that went on behind the scenes of kids shows and Dan Schneider's alleged misconduct. Many victims came forward to reveal the horrifying events that they went through as minors on set. Now, the double Grammy Award winner is opening up about the documentary and her experience.

When Podcrushed host Nava Kavelin asked Grande for her thoughts on children acting, she said she was reprocessing her own experience as a child star. ”I think the environment needs to be made safer if kids are going to be acting,” Grande said. ”I think there should be therapists, I think parents should be allowed wherever they want to be.”

Grande also called the Quiet on Set survivors who came forward about the mistreatment and abuse on Nickelodeon "devastating."

Still, the ”Eternal Sunshine” singer says she and her Victorious co-star Elizabeth Gillies fell in love with their characters.

When Kavelin later opened up a discussion on children's development, Grande took the opportunity to talk about her experience on Nickelodeon's Victorious and Sam & Cat, both of which Dan Schneider directed.

Grande said that young performers' enthusiasm is easily exploited, explaining that “a strange pattern that occurs where it’s really taking advantage of how much it means to the young performer to get a laugh from Video Village.”

She added, “You’re like, ‘Oh sh*t, I’m doing something great.  Like, this is funny, this is good.’ ”

But Grande noted how she and her other castmates “pushed the envelope with [their] humor.”

Indeed, Schneider had a habit of seemingly sexualizing the young actors in his shows. It appears the singer is aware of this, even stating that she's upset. “And the innuendos were like, we were told and convinced as well that it was the cool differentiation.  And I don’t know, I think it all just happened so quickly, and now looking back on some of the clips, I’m like, ‘That’s…damn, really?’”

“The things that weren’t approved for the network were snuck on to like our website or whatever it was, and that is another discovery.  But I’m going into it…I guess I’m upset,” she added.

Following the release of Quiet on Set, footage from Sam & Cat went viral in which Grande is barefoot and sucking on her toe, "milking" a potato, and pouring water on herself as she lay upside down on a bed.

Schneider continues to deny all allegations and is suing the makers of "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV."
