The 2023 Grammys have been the talk all day! Besides Madonna's uncanny valley appearance, the stellar performances, and awards, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have also caught the attention of viewers.

The audience noticed Ben whisper something in Jennifer's ear, prompting her to hit him while purportedly saying, "Don't do it." It's not known whether she was being serious or playful.

Once Jennifer turns and sees the camera, her demeanor immediately changes, and she smiles.

While the majority of social media users are under the impression that the duo had a spat, a few believe their interaction was playful. "Wait but maybe they aren't fighting and he said something like really dirty in her ear? And she hits him like 'behave we are in public,'" writes a user named Sam.

"Maybe I'm trippin, but he was clearly cracking a cheeky joke to me," adds Lex.

This is not the first time Ben has been seen getting scolded by his wife. The couple was recently spotted having an argument during the premier of Shotgun Wedding. The viral video shows Jennifer sternly looking at Ben as he talks to her. Mouth readers on TikTok believe the minor dispute was about alcohol.

"I didn't drink anything today," Ben allegedly says. He adds, "Jen!" Another clip from the same night showed the Gone Girl actor looking pretty upset as Jennifer holds his hand.

Ben has struggled with alcoholism in the past. His addiction was one of the driving factors behind his infamous divorce from his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. Unfortunately, being at events where alcohol is present can be difficult for individuals who are trying to remain sober, which could explain why Ben looks unhappy most of the time.

Jennifer and Ben have a long history together, with their romance starting in 2002. They separated in 2004, pursued others, and had families of their own. They found their way back together in 2021 and got married one year later! "We're older now, we're smarter, we have more experience, we're at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things," the Selena actress told PEOPLE on her rekindled romance. "We're so protective because it is such a beautiful time for all of us."

She later added, "I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him. It's a beautiful love story that we got a second chance." So you see, they do love each other after all!
