Since the start of the pandemic, countries have imposed travel restrictions like entry requirements in an effort to slow the spread of Covid. After millions of people received their vaccination, countries started to finally open up again, enabling nonvaccinated individuals to visit other countries. Those who decided to not get the vaccine – either due to personal or medical reasons – deserve to travel like everyone else, and I’ve got them covered. Below is the list of countries you can now enter regardless of your vaccination status.
Iceland
For nature lovers, Iceland is a utopia. During the summer, when sunny days are six months long, you can enjoy the lush, green pastures full of sheep and flowers. Just going for a long drive anywhere in this beautiful country will be enough to satisfy your cravings for natural wonders. Since the beginning of 2022, Iceland has lifted all border restrictions for entering. You no longer need a vaccination or a test.
Croatia
CIf you’re a fan of Game of Thrones, you may be familiar with the beautiful coastal city Dubrovnik, where scenes of King’s Landing were filmed. This old town in Croatia is encircled by stone walls that were completed in the 16th century. Croatia also has incredible waterfalls and landscapes. As of June 2022, Croatia no longer needs proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test to enter.
Greece
If you’re unvaccinated, don’t fret – you can now walk down the busy streets of Mykonos or Santorini. If you’re not feeling the island vibe, you can head on over to Athens and marvel at the Acropolis or admire the old marble statues Greece is known for. Greece is open to all nonvaccinated travelers this summer, though the government will review the mandates once again in September to make a final decision.
Italy
This country is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes, chapels, and delicious foods. If you’ve been desiring to visit Rome or Italy’s coastal cities for the past couple of years, you no longer have anything to worry about. As of June 2020, Italy is no longer requiring vaccinations or tests to enter.
Switzerland
Miss the cold mountain air? Want to relax and keep warm on a scenic train ride? Switzerland has you covered. The famous country in the Alps no longer has any restrictions on entering.
Mexico
Whether you choose to see the beautiful beaches, pyramids, or the stunning nature of the Chiapas region, you’ll be sure to have fun in Mexico, without vaccination or a test.
