BLM Blasts Democrats For Nominating Kamala Harris Without Democratic Process, Calls Them "Party Of Hypocrites"

Black Lives Matter (BLM) has sharply criticized the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for nominating Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate without a transparent and democratic process.

The bizarre events leading to Kamala Harris’s nomination have raised significant concerns.

On Sunday, President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the race following his disastrous debate performance. Minutes later, Vice President Kamala Harris declared her candidacy with Biden’s endorsement.

By Monday night, after continuing her calls and delivering two public speeches, the Associated Press announced that Harris had secured enough delegates to be the Democratic nominee.

In response, BLM posted a timeline of events and the following commentary on social media to highlight the undemocratic nature of this process: "A 24-hour process of talking to party bosses is not democratic, nor is it a process Democrats should be proud of. We do not live in a dictatorship. Delegates are not oligarchs. Installing Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee and an unknown vice president without any public voting process would make the modern Democratic Party a party of hypocrites. We call on the @DNC to create a process that allows for public participation in the nomination process, not just a nomination by party delegates."

In their longer official statement, BLM also highlighted that the process is neither democratic nor transparent, branding the Democratic Party as "hypocrites" for sidelining voter participation and demanding the DNC conduct an informal, virtual snap primary before the convention in August, arguing that the current process disenfranchises voters and lacks transparency.

D’Zhane Parker, a BLM leader, stated, "We must stand firm against any attempt to silence Black voters and other marginalized communities. This is not just about Biden or Harris; it is about demanding a political system that genuinely represents us and upholds democracy."

BLM's assessment that the nomination process of Harris lacked democracy is correct, but many liberals responded to it with insults and criticisms.

"The clown award goes to you, congrats. She’s the nominee," wrote one person, to which BLM responded, "We are happy to be the clowns calling for Democracy."

BLM's position is drawing speculation, given their typically militant alignment with the Democratic Party. Some suggest that their opposition to Kamala Harris may stem from her record as a district attorney, where she proudly prosecuted record numbers of black individuals for minor offenses.

Others argue it might be a reaction to her unlikable personality, with some labeling her as "Hillary in Chucks." This raises the question of whether BLM's stance is driven by genuine ethical concerns or strategic calculations about Harris’s electability.

Given BLM's own controversies and corruption, it’s unclear if their call for a democratic process is entirely based on ethics or just a tactical maneuver to keep Democrats in power.

As the Democratic Party continues to blow up democracy in the name of saving democracy, the demand for a fair and inclusive nomination process shouldn't be complicated or controversial. The media's alliance with the Democratic Party is likely the reason why Democrat politicians can continue to deceive their voters into thinking Harris's nomination process was fair or ethical.
