"I think that people are either afraid to try or – not that they're lazy – but we live in a hurry, and so we don't even try," she said, adding that there are plenty of effective and convenient at-home remedies.

You also don't need expensive body lotion and can opt for raw coconut oil! “The only thing that I’ve ever used for mine that has improved hydration has been either just raw coconut oil from the jar or these shower oils to keep the skin constantly hydrated,” Tatiana shares. Central to her regimen is the use of specialized shower body oils. She recommends in-shower oils and moisturizers by the brand Natura, Brazilian oils that help smooth the skin.
And if you haven’t been good about moisturizing, start now and shoot for twice a day. “I tell people to moisturize twice a day – once in the morning and once at night. It’s a small adjustment, but it can make a huge difference,” Tatiana says. By upping the frequency of moisturization, you can help your skin retain hydration and improve its elasticity. Tatiana recommends affordable moisturizers that contain natural ingredients and avoid harmful chemicals like alcohol, which can strip the skin of moisture.
Red Light Therapy: A Game-Changer for Skin Health
One of the most transformative tools Tatiana has incorporated into her skincare routine is red light therapy. While it may sound like a high-tech and inaccessible treatment, it is actually a simple, affordable method that can yield impressive results. I bought mine for $40 on Amazon! It helps with everything from inflammation to stretch marks, pain relief, and overall recovery.
Tatiana swears by red light, and says she's been using it for 16 years! She suggests using it for 30 minutes a day, and the best part is that they are incredibly easy to integrate into your routine. Turn it on while watching TV, reading in bed, or taking a nap, and allow the red light to work its magic.
Saunas Are Underrated
Another often overlooked tool in the skincare toolkit is the sauna. While many people associate saunas with relaxation, they don’t realize the many skincare benefits they offer. Saunas are fantastic for reducing inflammation, Tatiana says.
Saunas promote blood circulation and detoxification, which in turn support skin health. Tatiana recommends incorporating sauna therapy into your wellness routine. For those without access to a spa, she suggests looking into home saunas or local gyms that offer sauna facilities.

Emotional and physical health are crucial for achieving glowing skin. Tatiana points out how our skin reflects our inner state. "Healthy skin and beauty for the exterior starts with your interior. Not holding on to resentment and anger and really working on your inner health from the inside out helps."
Movement is also very important – on average, adults can retain anywhere from one to five liters of excess fluid in their bodies at any given time. "You age, you feel lethargic, you feel swollen" when you're stagnant and consuming too many unhealthy products, Tatiana adds. "So I found that the key essential to looking good on the outside is balancing your inside. And if you're flushing your internal toilet, that's obviously going to reflect in how you look. Ever since I've learned that, I've been doing [lymphatic massages] religiously and I've seen the humongous difference in how I feel and look just overall."
