Britney Spears Is Raising Some Questions About Brittany Murphy's Mysterious Death That Still Haven't Really Been Solved
Brittany Murphy's death in 2009 shocked everyone in Hollywood and beyond. She was only 32 years old at the time of her passing and there were many questions surrounding her death that went unanswered.
Britney Spears is still asking those questions and is unhappy with how little we know about Brittany's death. In a recent Instagram post, Britney shared a picture of the People magazine cover from October 2021 that asked, "What really happened to Brittany Murphy?"

Britney realizes that she might be a little late to the conversation — "I know it was a while ago but come on" — but she is demanding to know what really happened to actress Brittany Murphy. We all knew her from Clueless, 8 Mile, Just Married, etc. and she was loved by many people who came into contact with her. In fact, most people who worked with her said she was incredibly sweet and caring. She lit up the room.
Britney's latest Instagram post is begging to know what happened to the late star. "I saw this online today …. is anybody else curious ???" she wrote in the caption. "She died at 32 … HMMMMMMMMMMM 🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧 … JUST SAYING !!!"
"They are STILL INVESTIGATING !!!" Britney concluded.
The HBO documentary What Happened, Brittany Murphy? was an in-depth portrait of Brittany's career, life, and days leading up to her death. The official cause of her death was pneumonia, along with contributing factors of iron deficiency anemia and drug intoxication. But the story of her death starts to get very strange when you look at her husband's obsessively controlling behavior.
Simon Monjack had a tight grip on Brittany's career when they were together, and multiple reports say that her health was declining as she was having difficulty performing her duties on set. Simon insisted on playing every role in her career, from manager to agent to even makeup artist at some points. The HBO documentary showed that Simon and Brittany's home was in complete disarray, and there was a very strange relationship between Simon and Brittany's mother after Brittany's passing. He even seemed to be controlling of his mother-in-law, and they lived together after Brittany died.
To make things even more mysterious, Simon died only five months after Brittany did from the same causes: pneumonia and severe anemia. Some speculate their illness was caused by large amounts of mold in their home.
Regardless of the answers we have already been given, everything still seems fishy. And Britney knows that, which is why she's demanding answers.
