Country music icon Carrie Underwood will be front and center at President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, per Fox News.

The talented vocalist and former American Idol winner was recently confirmed to perform during the swearing-in ceremony for President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance. Underwood’s performance will include a rendition of “America the Beautiful,” backed by the Armed Forces Choir and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club.

Carrie Underwood has come a long way since her American Idol win in 2005. The outlet also announced that the Armed Forces Choir will be joining Underwood. Safe to say that I won’t be missing that performance!

While X users are in shambles and hating on Underwood, we’re not at all surprised about the announcement. Underwood’s crossover appeal speaks to millions of proud Americans. “America the Beautiful” is also a great choice for the inauguration, and with Carrie behind the mic, there’s no doubt it’ll sound powerful. Nothing kicks off 2025 like with a patriotic ceremony and a Grammy-winning artist.
