The creator of Cartoon Network's series Mighty Magiswords has been arrested over child sexual abuse images.

The news comes months after ID's documentary Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV exposed the child sexual abuse of Nickelodeon stars. While not all adults who work in children's media are pedophiles, it is astonishing how many of them have been outed as one. Sick individuals like Drake Bell's abuser, Brian Peck, may gravitate toward jobs focused on children as it gives them easier access to minors.

Kyle Carrozza's series, Mighty Magiswords, is about two siblings, Vambre and Prohyras, who run a warriors-for-hire business. Using their magical weapons called "magiswords," these warriors take on quests and fight in battles. He has appeared in multiple videos uploaded by Cartoon Network Australia for YouTube Kids.

Carrozza, 45, has a history of working on kids' television shows as a storyboard artist and animator and is credited with character layouts on numerous series from other networks. He's worked on Adventure Time, Doc McStuffins and its spinoff The Doc Files, Fish Hooks, Paramount's Fanboy & Chum Chum, Danger Rangers, Animaniacs, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, and Teen Titans Go!

Carrozza was arrested in Burbank, California, on June 20 on two child pornography possession charges as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigation, per USA Today.

According to ComicBook, "Carrozza has been charged under California penal code 311.11(a), which relates to the possession of child pornography, and also an enhanced 311.11( c) charge, 'which relates to individuals knowingly in possession of at least 12 videos, or 600 images, of child pornography.'"

The offenses can be charged as either a misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in county jail, or a felony, punishable by up to five years in state prison. If found guilty of any of these charges, Carrozza will have to register as a sex offender.
