Some people have dubbed this a "father's worst nightmare."

You've heard of "daddy issues," but what about ' 'daughter issues"? That's exactly what David Smalley and his daughter, Talissa, have titled their podcast, and I couldn't think of a more fitting and witty name. The duo discusses everything from ancient items like encyclopedias and phone books (l kid) to the culture of Gen Z.

This week, however, the conversation took a turn when 19-year-old Talissa dropped a bomb on her dad. In a viral clip, the Smalleys record their interaction. It's evident in the beginning that David never suspected his daughter of selling images of herself. "Are you moving out of state?" he asks.

After dancing around the subject briefly, Talissa finally tells him the truth. "So, I've kinda joked about it before – starting an OnlyFans – but it's not what you think either." Her dad's face turns red, and he covers his mouth. You can tell he's trying to process the information. "I would be taking a more model route," she adds. Okay, good. It looks like Talissa won't be taking nudes and exposing herself, but David is still concerned (rightly so). OnlyFans models in the past have come forward about their customers treating them like they're "not people" and how it makes them feel "dead inside."

Not a lot of women get successful on the platform either, and might I remind everyone how the website has issues with pimps and predators. Additionally, OnlyFans only fuels the addiction that millions of men have to sexual imagery. It also teaches men that women are commodities. They're not.

Talissa's goal is to "capitalize" on her "assets," which makes David uncomfortable. "I'm a businesswoman," she adds.

"First and foremost, you know, I love you. I respect you. I raised you to be independent, to be – like you said – to be business-minded, to be logical. I guess the biggest thing is you being safe," David tells her. "Like having a daughter, already knowing that you're highly likely to be assaulted or hit or groped or something like that. That's already on a father's mind when he has a girl. So there's that protection part of me that's like, I don't want you to be opened up to even more people stalking or chasing you or doing stuff."

David also brings up a good point about digital footprint and how these images may haunt Talissa in the future. As the concerned dad says, Talissa can make her own choices – but I do hope she listens to her dad. Her wellbeing and safety are the top priority. "I'm concerned with your safety. I'm concerned with your future. And I don't want you to do anything that's gonna harm future you," he says. "My fear is that you would do something now, get money now, and then when you're in your 40s, you look back on it and go, 'Man, I really had an opportunity to do something bigger with my life.'"
