Let me guess: The debate moderators are voting for Kamala Harris this November.

The 2024 debate has ignited a firestorm on social media, with many stating that the moderators showed clear favoritism toward Kamala Harris.

Viewers suspect that ABC moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis gave Harris questions in advance and failed to fact-check her false claims while constantly pressing Donald Trump for clarifications. The apparent bias has sparked heated discussions online, especially on X.

For instance, Trump was immediately corrected by the moderators when he claimed that immigrants are eating people's pets (though there have been reports of immigrants consuming ducks at parks and being hostile, according to residents).

Moderators, however, failed to fact-check Harris when she claimed that if Trump were to be reelected, "he will sign a national abortion ban."

Vice President Harris also falsely claimed that Trump left office "with the worst unemployment rate since the Great Depression." According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, when Trump left office in January 2021, the official unemployment rate was 6.4%. While the rate spiked to 14.8% in April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, by the time Trump exited the White House, the economy had begun to recover, and the rate had dropped significantly.

Harris took Trump's comments out of context as well regarding the white nationalist protest in Charlottesville.

There are far more inaccurate statements made by Harris. Again, the ABC moderators failed to fact-check her on most of them. Commentator Liz Wheeler wrote that Harris lied repeatedly and made false claims about "Late-term abortion, the 'very fine people' [in] Charlottesville, J6, bloodbath, crime data, border security, Project 2025, and fracking."

"The ABC moderators are a disgrace. They're propaganda. Pravda. They've sold their souls," added Wheeler.

"She completely lied about Charlottesville and the ABC moderators did absolutely nothing," tweeted Greg Price.

Another popular post read, "ABC has let Harris get away with the Charlottesville hoax, bloodbath hoax, police officers dying on J6 hoax, etc. But they fact check Trump on animals in Ohio… when he was correct."

Given the apparent favoritism shown toward Kamala Harris during the debate, it makes sense why so many Americans are questioning the ABC moderators' political affiliation. Why did the moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis, fail to fact-check Harris’s numerous inaccurate claims while scrutinizing so many of Trump’s statements? This debate raises serious questions about whether the moderators are truly committed to political impartiality or if they might be swayed by external interests, such as ties with the DNC.
