Many believe that former Nickelodeon showrunner Dan Schneider should be in jail. You'll probably agree once you get through this article.

Behind-the-scenes videos and images from the disgraced producer's shows – including Victorious, iCarly, and Zoey 101 – have resurfaced following the success of the documentary Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. Knowing about the abuse that went down on these shows has brought a sinister undertone to the old footage.

Miranda Cosgrove Backs Away from Dan Schneider

On Miranda Cosgrove's 18th birthday, Dan Schneider is seen walking toward the iCarly actress as she awkwardly backs away.

He grabs her anyway and wraps his arm around her neck.

In the clip below, Schneider "jokingly" tells iCarly star Jerry Trainor to pin Cosgrove to the ground. Note that Schneider allegedly had a bad habit of telling employees to do something as a "joke" – a former The Amanda Show writer came on Quiet on Set to reveal that the producer had asked one writer to act out being sodomized because he thought it would be "funny."

Dan Schneider Scares Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, Miranda Cosgrove, and Jennette McCurdy

Schneider seemed to love scaring the young actresses on set. In one clip, he surprises Victoria Justice, who begins to twitch from stress.

Another compilation on YouTube shows him randomly screaming at the girls.

Dan Schneider and Ariana Grande

In a video uploaded to YouTube titled "Dan Schneider being creepy," Ariana Grande quickly gets up from the floor as the producer approaches her, flips her hair to the front, and pulls down her skirt. Her Victorious co-star, Liz Gillies, seems annoyed.

When she was in the recording studio, Schneider approached her as she backed away into a corner.

Dan Schneider Keeps Touching Minors

It appears that Schneider could not keep his hands off minors, and the images of him with young Zoey 101 stars have resurfaced. Why didn't anyone stop him?

Schneider Allegedly Harrasses Jennette McCurdy

In I'm Glad My Mom Died, Jennette McCurdy recalls the time when a Nickelodeon executive she dubbed the "creator" harassed her. Social media users believe she's referring to Schneider, who was known to request massages on set.

The iCarly star said the creator encouraged her to drink when she was 14, describing him as "mean-spirited, controlling, and terrifying."

"He reaches out and places his hand on my knee," she recalls in her book. "I get goosebumps. 'You're cold,' he says, concerned. I don't think that's why I got the goosebumps, but I agree. It's always best to agree with the creator. He pats my shoulders, and then the pat turns into a massage. I wanna say something to tell him to stop, but I'm so scared of offending him."

An old Vine (a discontinued short-form video app) created by McCurdy went viral recently on TikTok. The actress appears disheveled as she addresses the producer, "Hey, Dan Schneider. I know you're watching my Vine. Do you like my Vine? Look what you've done to me."

Sexualized Taglines

Not only did Schneider direct seemingly sexualized scenes of minors on his series, he also purportedly included sexual innuendos at the end of the shows like "I heard you swallow," "here comes that feeling," and "that is so not tight."

Dan Schneider’s “Apology”

Schneider released an apology in a video interview after Quiet on Set aired. Schneider said questionable content or "jokes" in the shows should be cut from the episodes, yet he asserts that he wrote them because kids thought they were funny. “Every one of those jokes was written for a kid audience because kids thought they were funny,” Schneider claimed. “Now we have some adults looking back at them 20 years later through their lens. I have no problem with that. Let's cut those jokes out of the show.”

When asked about the massages Schneider requested from staffers, he said, “It was wrong. It was wrong that I ever put anyone in that position. It was wrong to do. I’d never do it today. I’m embarrassed that I did it then. I apologize to anybody that I ever put in that situation.”
