Doja Cat never fails to surprise her audience. On May 9, 2023, the singer admitted on Twitter that her previous albums, Planet Her and Hot Pink, were just cash-grabs. "planet her and hot pink were cash-grabs and yall fell for it," she wrote. "now i can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while yall weep for mediocre pop."

Hot Pink is the second album Doja Cat released in 2019, debuting at number 93 on Billboard 200. One week later, it rose to number 19, reaching the top 10 on the chart. Planet Her wasn't much different in terms of success either – five singles from the 2021 album manage to chart within the top 20 of Billboard Hot 100. Yet despite her achievements with her hits like "Say So" and "Kiss Me More," Doja Cat says she's done with pop.

Two months ago, the singer-songwriter made headlines after randomly changing her profile picture to a creepy demon, fueling rumors that it was a promo for her new album. Maybe her fans were onto something, because the "Get Into It" singer announced her album title yesterday. "its not called hEllMoUth either its called 'First of All' and yes I'm announcing the album title right now," she explained.

For the past year, the singer has been making headlines for her outrageous outfit choices and taste in "art." In early 2023, Doja Cat stunned audience members at Paris Fashion Week when she attended the event covered in red paint and 30,000 Swarovski crystals to resemble a weird version of Mystique from X-Men. It seems Cali-born musician changed up her style and media presence after she shaved her head before turning 27 in 2022.

In October of last year, Doja Cat celebrated her 27th birthday by throwing a creepy Eyes Wide Shut-themed party, prompting users to believe she had "sold her soul" and joined the Illuminati. She hit back at the critics on Twitter, writing, "This illuminati shit is so funny to me I'm gonna keep doing deliberate weird ass shit just to make those people uncomfortable. I've fr found a new outlet of joy."

She continued, "playing with people's ignorance and stupidity for my own happiness and personal gain >."[sic]
