42-year-old streamer Dr. Disrespect, or Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV, was recently terminated from Midnight Society following resurfaced disturbing allegations against him.

Midnight Society was co-founded by Beahm, a video game studio that describes itself as being established "on principles of transparency and open development."

In 2020, Beahm was suddenly banned from Twitch while on a livestream. No one knew why he was kicked off – until recently. After numerous allegations surfaced on social media that claimed Beahm was messaging a minor, the streamer finally confirmed it. And in case you're wondering, Beahm is still married to "Mrs. Assassin" (her online name), and has been for 16 years. They also share a daughter.

In a lengthy, profanity-laced statement to X/Twitter, Beahm explains his "side of the story" regarding the Twitch ban. He insists that the messages with the minor had no intentions behind them but admits that the conversations sometimes leaned toward being "inappropriate." Beahm was never charged with any crimes.

"Were there twitch whisper messages with an individual minor back in 2017? The answer is yes," he wrote. "Were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not."

He continued, "These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more. Nothing illegal happened, no pictures were shared, no crimes were committed, I never even met the individual. I went through a lengthy arbitration regarding a civil dispute with twitch and that case was resolved by a settlement. Let me be clear, it was not a criminal case against me and no criminal charges have ever been brought against me."

The streamer wrote that he would "take responsibility" before admitting that he never should have "entertained" the discussions. "That's on me. That's on me as an adult, a husband and a father," he added. "It should have never happened. I get it. I’m not perfect and I’ll f*cking own my shit. This was stupid."

Beahm continued to defend himself, writing, "I'm no f*cking predator or pedophile. Are you kidding me? Anyone that truely knows me f*cking knows where I stand on those things with those types of people."

He proceeded to thank his team, community, and friends who have supported him throughout all the backlash before telling his haters that he's "not f*cking going anywhere" and will be taking an extended vacation with his family.

While the social media audience slammed Beahm for his actions, streamers swiftly came to Beahm's defense, including media personality Sneako.

Vara Dark, another streamer, insists Beahm is innocent until proven guilty and suggested that the messages that leaned toward being "inappropriate" may have been jokes or sexual innuendos. "We still haven't seen the chatlogs, which to me could provide A LOT of context i'd like to see, but at the end of the day it sounds like there were Twitch employees who were DESPERATE to find a way to cancel him. Twitch, their employees and journos sat on this information for YEARS and some even tried to profit off of it. Twitch needs to be investigated and i'm left wondering what ELSE they're trying to cover up."

On June 24, Midnight Society announced they were terminating their relationship with Beahm. "On Friday evening we became aware of an allegation against one of our co-founder’s Guy Beahm aka Dr Disrespect. We assumed his innocence and began speaking with parties involved. And in order to maintain our principles and standards as a studio and individuals, we needed to act."

"For this reason, we are terminating our relationship with Guy Beahm immediately," they wrote in their statement.

"While these facts are difficult to hear and even more difficult to accept, it is our duty to act with dignity on behalf of all individuals involved, especially the fifty-five developers and families we have employed along with our community of players."
