Emma Roberts Accused Of Transphobia By Trans-Identified Male Angelica Ross On Set Of "American Horror Story"

Actress Emma Roberts has been accused of making a transphobic comment by Angelica Ross, her co-star from the 2019 season of American Horror Story: 1984. Ross calls himself a transgender woman and demands to be referred to with she/her pronouns. The accusations against Roberts were made public on the day the anthology series' new season, "Delicate," was set to debut. Ross shared his experience with Roberts during an Instagram Live video. In it, Ross recounts an incident on set where Roberts allegedly made a comment that Ross interpreted as transphobic.

In the video, Ross described a moment he shared with Roberts, where the two were talking in front of a mirror. Ross said that Roberts made a comment that he was being "mean" to someone named John, who could possibly be John J. Gray, the director of two episodes in the season they both starred in. Ross did not take the comment seriously, acknowledging that Roberts was "just being whatever" and joking around. However, Ross's issue arose when Roberts supposedly followed up her previous comment.

John responded to the exchange jokingly and said, "OK, ladies, that's enough. Let's get back to work."

Roberts allegedly said under her breath, "Don't you mean lady?" She was covering her mouth with her shirt as she turned away and made the remark.

Ross was taken aback by the comment, expressing his shock and stating that he was left trying to fully understand what Roberts had just said. "I'm looking at her dead a** in the camera, like, 'What the f*ck did you just say?' And I'm standing there looking her dead a** in the damn thing, and I'm like, trying to process [what] the f*ck she just said," Ross said in the livestream.

Ross noted his reluctance to confront Roberts directly, suggesting that someone else who had spoken up about Roberts in the past had faced repercussions for doing so. This made Ross hesitant to address the issue, fearing he would be the one to face negative consequences. They continued to film together, and Ross said he simply didn't speak to Roberts anymore on set.

"She said to me she could feel the energy coming off of me. She was like, 'Are you OK? You haven't been talking.' I'm like, 'Mmmhmm,'" Ross continued. "'Cause, b**tch, don't play me. You've been playing mind games with everybody on the set, and everybody's been waiting for the moment that you would get me."

The internet has been buzzing with accusations of Roberts being transphobic, even though she has nothing to apologize for whatsoever. She correctly identified a man as a man, and simply implied that a man shouldn't be referred to as a lady. Just 5-10 years ago, this would have been considered normal, but because our society has plummeted and adopted radical gender theory that insists a man can suddenly become a woman overnight, people are out for blood and demanding that Roberts be canceled.

"Respecting each other's identities is crucial, and it's disappointing to hear about situations like this," another person replied.

Many others insisted that her career be ended, and she be canceled forever. Meanwhile, there were plenty of people online who were happy to hear that someone in Hollywood was refusing to play along with the charade of gender theory. Roberts has been called "based," and many express how entertaining it is to see a trans-identified male be called out for what he really is. Whether Roberts meant this to be a joke or not is still up in the air. Some people expect that Roberts will issue a public apology since this story has gone viral. It would be disappointing to see her bow down to the mob when she did nothing wrong.
