Magazines used to be known for discovering the underground models who hadn't found their big break yet. But today, it seems like the only cover models we see are the Hadid sisters, the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Jennifer Lopez, or a star of the latest blockbuster movie. While these women are no doubt beautiful in their own right, it's refreshing to see young, new talent that is on the rise. After all, the variety of gorgeous women we used to see in magazines is one of the reasons women loved to peruse through the editions so much. Evie's latest cover model was a discovery that our founder and editor-in-chief, Brittany Martinez, made—and her career is now propelling to new heights.

Evie Cover Girl, Kahealani Papke, Makes the Maxim Hot 100 List

Kahealani Papke has nearly 26,000 followers on Instagram, and she's more than a stunning model. She's a real life Moana—a Polynesian Princess and the last descendant of Marau Ta’aroa, the Last Queen of Tahiti. She's known to the locals as Kahea and she's quite literally the last remaining Tahitian princess. Kahea's long, wavy natural hair cascades down her back and her naturally glowing, dewy skin is on full display in her photos. Kahea loves to surf and spends much of her time in nature, and we were captured by her nostalgically pure look.

We weren't the only ones who fell in love with Kahea's look. Maxim saw something unique in her too. In the 2023 Hot 100 list, Maxim named Kahea as one of the most beautiful women, along with Ashley Graham, Zendaya, Selena Gomez, and Rihanna. She was named one of the "Instagram Sirens," pointing out that there was "something regal" about her.

"She’s the great-great granddaughter of Tahiti’s last queen, Queen Marau, making her the last Tahitian Princess. While very low-key about her royal blood, she made her official editorial debut in 2022, appearing on the cover of Evie magazine," Maxim wrote.
