Throughout her illustrious career, Taylor Swift has consistently proven herself as one of the biggest names in music. With a string of critically acclaimed albums, record-breaking sales, and numerous awards, the American singer-songwriter has cemented her status as a global icon. Her latest venture, the highly successful Eras Tour, is no exception.

So far, the Eras Tour has sold an astonishing 2.5 million tickets, and Swift has played to packed stadiums in major cities worldwide, including New York, London, and Tokyo. One of the highlights of the tour has been Taylor's rumored romance with Matty Healy, the charismatic frontman of The 1975, sparking intense interest from fans and media alike. Though neither Taylor nor Matty have confirmed the rumors, people are going mad over the possibility that they're together. As the Eras Tour continues to break records and draw rave reviews, Taylor Swift's career shows no signs of slowing down. Meanwhile, her fans are doing what they do best: seeing Swifty symbolism in anything and everything, even if they're grasping at straws.

Fans Suspected Taylor Swift Is Releasing a Memoir in July and It's Already a Bestseller—But It's Not Her Book After All

A viral TikTok explained how Taylor Swift megafans tracked down a memoir that is set to release on July 9 and convinced themselves that this mystery book was written by none other than Taylor herself. @thickbrunette9 made a video saying that she had some tea, citing Taylor's latest Instagram post that announced the upcoming release of Taylor's version of "Speak Now." In 2021, she released her version of "Red," and it was a huge hit.

"It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, iykyk 😆) I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing … and living to speak about it," Taylor wrote in the caption.

The second photo was a graphic that contained a note from Taylor: "I always looked at this album as my album, and the lump in my throat expands to a quivering voice as I say this. Thanks to you, dear reader, it finally will be."

Already Swifties found some supposedly hidden messages. The phrase in parentheses—"just in time for July 9th, iykyk"—raised some eyebrows because Taylor references this date in her song "Last Kiss" on the "Speak Now" album. Also, in the graphic, she writes "Dear reader," making people believe that she has something new for them to read, not listen to.

Publishers usually provide a brief description of the upcoming books that are going to be released, and one publisher in particular has a mystery book that is scheduled to be released on July 9. The cover is unavailable, and it's under the category of "Bios & Memoirs." However, we do know that it's 544 pages, and 544 adds up to 13, Taylor's favorite number. The audio book is also 13 hours long. If this didn't set off alarm bells in Swifties' minds, don't forget that Taylor played the role of an author in the "All Too Well" short film.

Many Swifties have already purchased the book, and it has been marked a bestseller already. However, they may have jumped the gun too soon. Variety reports that Taylor Swift is not in fact releasing a memoir in July. An untitled book from Flatiron imprint has been available for pre-order at $45, despite having no known title or author. Due to the Swiftie rumors, the book, officially known as "4C Untitled Flatiron Nonfiction Summer 2023," has climbed as high as No. 2 on Amazon's book sales chart and No. 1 on Barnes & Noble's pre-orders chart. All the Easter eggs and Swifty connections are mere coincidences, and Taylor is not releasing a memoir in tandem with her upcoming album and national stadium tour. The mystery author's identity remains unknown, but the book is expected to be a "fun, celebratory" read with global appeal and massive publicity.
