Gisele Bündchen And Karlie Kloss Hanging Out With Ivanka Trump Is A Cultural Reset

If you heard that Gisele Bündchen, Ivanka Trump, and Karlie Kloss spent a chill day together on the beach in Costa Rica, you might think you misread the headline. 

This actually happened, though – TMZ reported on the iconic trio hanging out, laughing together, and having an amazing time.

Paparazzi photos show Ivanka wearing a bright blue bikini top with a tropical floral skirt, while Gisele “matched her energy” with a sleek black outfit and a wide-brimmed hat to shield herself from the sun. Karlie “twinned” with Gisele in black, though she wore a slightly longer skirt while walking across the sand hand-in-hand with one of her kids.

Ivanka and Karlie were already mid-family vacation with their husbands, Jared and Joshua Kushner. Gisele, who has been spending time between Costa Rica and Miami with her partner, Joaquim Valente, and recently welcomed their first child together, also has roots in the region.

Five years ago, I believe it wouldn't have been harder for the models to be out with Republicans. Karlie even spent most of the Trump administration doing Olympic-level PR gymnastics to distance herself from her in-laws. Gisele famously posted, "I will not be attending [Trump’s] event," back when everyone was side-eying Tom Brady’s alleged red MAGA hat. These women weren’t doing this out of shame; they did it to protect themselves from the insane online mob. 

Meanwhile, Ivanka was demonized by the media for simply existing. Ivanka isn’t the cartoon villain the media tried to script her into; she’s a smart, driven woman who (shockingly!) has friends, surfs in Costa Rica, and wears a bikini like everyone else.

It's evident that times are shifting, and celebrities are tired of performative politics. Everyone is exhausted and no longer wants to be told who’s “evil” and who’s “good” based on who they’re friends with and sensational headlines.

Seeing Karlie and Gisele right there with her says more about where the culture is headed. Stars – even the ones who once kept one eye on the woke mob and one eye on their brand deals – are realizing it’s okay to exist outside of the “accepted” bubble for once. Increasingly, they are showcasing their conservative side. We’re inching back toward sanity.
