Wednesday's Lip Color
Wednesday's lip color has been the topic of conversation since the comedy horror series dropped on Netflix in late November.
Addams' signature lip look is a soft, matte lip that looks like a deep, moody burgundy. To be exact, Tara Mcdonald, who is the makeup artist behind so many iconic looks in the Tim Burton series, used MAC's Lip Pencil in "Nightmoth" ($21) and mixed it on the back of her hand with a clear balm to soften the color and achieve that dark and edgy, but still natural hue.
Keep in mind that Wednesday's look is all about subtlety, so focus on applying the lip color in light layers and blending the edges with a thin brush to ensure the look remains soft yet visible.

Wednesday's Face Makeup
A sallow complexion and carved cheekbones are the signature traits of the Addams family's daughter. To achieve Wednesday's signature "half-dead, but still fresh and modern" complexion, McDonald used the Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation ($48), which she sheered out with a moisturizer to make Jenna Ortega's natural freckles come through. McDonald then carved out Wednesday's facial features with MAC's Sculpting Powder in shades “Sculpt” and “Shadowy,” which are two cool tones.
To get the same look at home, opt for a foundation one or two shades lighter than your skin tone and sheer it out with a facial moisturizer or oil for that natural-but-better complexion that improves the look of any skin imperfections but doesn't entirely hide them.
If your skin is on the oily side, use a translucent powder to set everything and avoid losing the "no makeup" effect due to the natural oils your skin produces, but use it with a light hand to avoid looking cakey.

Wednesday's Eye Look
Wednesday's eye look will definitely be the most frustrating detail to achieve because two out of the three shades McDonald used to create the character's soft goth looks are from discontinued palettes. However, what you need to know is that the primary hues used for this look were two dark and cool tones, one that comes with a shimmery finish called “Glitch in the Matrix” that was applied to Ortega's upper lash line and a matte black called “Carbon,” which is the only available shade, that was used on her lower lash line to deepen the look. The third shade – “Brown Script” – is a warm brown with a hint of red from MAC's discontinued palette and was used all over Wednesday's eyelid to create dimension.
Nevertheless, to achieve this look at home, use a matte black shadow on the lower lash line, a gunmetal in a dark gray or black shade along the upper lash line, and a brown shade with reddish undertones all over the lid to create dimension and bring the look together.
