Ingrid Andress came under fire for her off-key rendition of the national anthem during the MLB Home Run Derby. Social media users described Andress' singing as "awful" and "historically bad," with many comparing her performance to Fergie's at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.

Give it a listen – or don't, we won't blame you:

The YouTube comment section did not let Andress off the hook. "This might be the worst national anthem I have ever heard," wrote @willyboi1861, garnering over 7,000 likes.

Another viewer wrote, "Please never allow her to sing again."

According to the country music singer-songwriter, she was drunk when she performed the song at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. She further admitted that she "needs help" and will be checking herself into rehab.

"I'm not gonna bullsh*t y'all, I was drunk last night. I'm checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I'll let y'all know how rehab is I hear it's super fun," Andress wrote on her Instagram Stories.

The poor performance doesn't at all reflect Andress's talent. In fact, the "Wishful Drinking" singer has earned top spots on the Billboard Hot 100, was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys in 2021, and was nominated for Best Country Album for Lady Like. Her song "More Hearts Than Mine" was also nominated for Best Country Song.

It takes a lot to admit that you need help, which is exactly what Andress did. It just sucks that her wake-up call was so public and painful.
