Jack Black And Tenacious D Bandmates Say "Don't Miss Trump Next Time" After Assassination Attempt
After former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt, Jack Black and Tenacious D performed in Sydney, Australia where Black and his bandmates joked about their "wish" for the successful assassination of President Trump in the future.
During their set at the ICC Sydney Theatre, Jack Black presented his bandmate, Kyle Gass, with a birthday cake and told him to make a wish.
"Don’t miss Trump next time," Gass stated, as he blew out the candles, drawing mostly laughter from the crowd.
Just a month prior, Black was a featured speaker at a high-profile fundraiser for President Joe Biden in Los Angeles at the Peacock Theater, and it included other Hollywood elites like George Clooney and Julia Roberts who reportedly raised over $30 million. Black's dramatic endorsement of Biden at the event went viral.
In his speech, Black said, "George Clooney and Julia Roberts wanted me to help out the President and speak here tonight, and I said, 'I am in, when and where?'"
He arrived in a "Dark Brandon" t-shirt and launched into false accusations against President Trump. Speaking about Biden, Black added, "My president needs me."
While many liberals online continue to cheer on violent, anti-Trump rhetoric, many people have called out the members of Tenacious D for advocating for more violence against the president.
Many fans of Black expressed their disgust and disappointment while others made memes.
"Donald Trump is funny and kind and he made a lot of good things happen when he was POTUS not to mention peace," wrote one commenter. "So my question is still—what did he do to some people to make them so hateful to him? I never see a real answer."
"Just another champagne socialist like Seth Rogen," wrote another person on X. "Americans want the self-made billionaire who loves America, not the career politician with dementia, but I guess Black and his Hollywood buddies know what's best."
