Acclaimed actor Jamie Foxx, known for his compelling performances in films such as Ray, has finally broken his silence on a recent health crisis that had shrouded his personal life in mystery. His hospitalization in April sparked rumors, but Foxx's family and representatives remained quiet about his condition. Foxx's daughter, Corinne, announced her father's remarkable progress in recovery, quashing false media claims, but it was suggested that Foxx experienced a brain blood clot after vaccine administration, leading to temporary paralysis and blindness. While some people attempted to link Foxx's condition to the vaccine, others labeled such claims as nonsense. Foxx finally spoke up about it for the first time.

In an Instagram video posted Saturday morning, the 55-year-old Oscar winner openly discussed the unspecified "medical complication" that resulted in his hospitalization. While Foxx did not delve into specifics about his condition, his focus was more on expressing gratitude for the support and care he had received.

Alongside a caption thanking everyone for their prayers, Foxx addressed why he chose to keep his ordeal under wraps. "I didn't want you to see me like that. I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, a television show," he admitted. "I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through." He also praised his family and medical professionals for saving his life and making it possible for him to even leave this message for everyone. He thanked his loved ones for their discretion during his health crisis, grateful for the protective shield they provided him.

Foxx also used the video to dispel rumors that had been swirling about his health, specifically those suggesting paralysis or vision impairment. He affirmed that he was neither paralyzed nor visually impaired and that he was making a recovery, though the journey had its share of difficulties.

"Some people said I was blind, but as you can see, the eyes are working just fine," he joked as he crossed his eyes with a smile. "They said I was paralyzed. I'm not paralyzed. But I went to hell and back. And my road to recovery had some potholes as well. But I'm coming back and I'm able to work."

Back in April, Foxx’s illness first surfaced in the public domain when his daughter, Corinne Foxx, made an Instagram statement saying her father had experienced a medical complication. At the time, Foxx was in Atlanta, filming for the Netflix movie Back in Action alongside Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close. While details remained scarce, it was clarified that Foxx’s hospitalization wasn't related to the filming.

Weeks after the incident, Foxx offered a brief message of gratitude on social media, simply stating: "Appreciate all the love. Feeling blessed." It was subsequently reported that Foxx was in a Chicago medical facility for his recovery.

Corinne played a crucial role in dispelling misinformation about her father's health. She debunked a tabloid report suggesting a dire prognosis for Foxx, stating that he had been out of the hospital and was recuperating.

Following Foxx’s heartfelt video message, numerous celebrities expressed their support. Personalities including Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Dwayne Johnson, Viola Davis, Justin Timberlake, and Steve Harvey offered words of encouragement and love. Thousands of fans wrote comments and shared his post, and the video has been liked almost 2 million times.

As Foxx navigates his way through his recovery, his candid video has given fans and friends a renewed sense of relief and hope. Many are still speculating at what the medical condition was and we may never know the details, but at the very least, people know he is okay and recovering well.
