In an intimate Instagram post, Jessie J shared an older photo of herself along with a recent one and wrote a caption detailing her wish to become a mother. She said she was only 16 when she wrote a list of things she wanted to be by the time she was 30 years old.
"1st thing on the list was to be a Mum," she said. "Now I’m nearly 35 and some days the grief of losing a baby and it not being easy to have one, and wanting my life in that way to look completely different to what it looks like right now just overwhelms me."
"I know it’s healthy and normal to have days of complete sadness and to honour all the feelings that come up, good and bad," she continued. "The bad isn’t often at all and yes I could go through this moment right now today alone in private and usually do, but today I am here."
She hopes that her openness will help the thousands of people around the world who are facing similar difficulties: "Maybe you read this and feel the love I have for you. I hope you can."
Approximately 10-15 out of every 100 pregnancies end in a miscarriage and most miscarriages happen in the first trimester before the 12th week of gestation. Jessie J is keeping hope that she will become a mother one day. Many people left comments of support and encouragement on her post, telling her to keep the faith and believe that one day she will have a healthy baby.
