This week, Olivia Rodrigo appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to discuss her latest album, Guts, and surprise the host’s children. However, her fans were upset when Jimmy Kimmel poked fun at the triple Grammy Award winner’s teeth.

When Kimmel showed Rodrigo's vinyl to the crowd, which featured a photograph of her mouth on the back, the host pointed out the singer's "imperfection." "[There's] a little chip on your tooth there, also," he said, pointing at her front tooth. He added, "You're not perfect after all." Kimmel's comment is a reference to Rodrigo's new hit song, "All-American B*tch.”

Rodrigo laughed and said she wasn't aware of the chip on her tooth and that it was a "new insecurity unlocked."

Fans were unhappy with Kimmel’s comments. "Jimmy Kimmel is always weird ! Jimmy Fallon would never 🗣," writes @tyger_for_tyla. Except, Fallon was accused of being a toxic boss on set this year.

"it’s funnier when u realize he’s a huge misogynist and used to have a show called 'the man show,'" adds @littlerae222.

Others noted how so many of Rodrigo's songs are about her body-image issues and her struggles with mental health. "girl got like 5 songs about her insecurities," comments @sksskskkskk, "but okay i guess point that out on her tf."

It's evident that Kimmel was just trying to be funny, but that doesn't mean we're letting him off the hook. Last year, the host came under fire for making an inappropriate comment while interviewing Jenna Ortega. When the Wednesday star opened up about her experience at a Disney prom, Kimmel said, “I feel like they’re trying to maybe have you guys create more Disney kids.” Given how the prom consisted of minors, it makes sense why so many people were turned off by Kimmel's "joke."

Kimmel has always been strange around young girls. In one controversial episode, he had a "Toddlers & Tiaras" segment featuring Tom Hanks, where they referred to babies as "sexy." Most people may brush these off as harmless quips, but it appears many viewers are now sensing a creepy undertone in Kimmel's remarks.
