Jimmy Kimmel Says He Wants To Be P. Diddy's "Running Mate" In Resurfaced Video
In 2018, Jimmy Kimmel said that he'd want to be P. Diddy's "running mate" if he ran for president, and we're not surprised at all by their relationship.
In November 2023, Cassie Ventura filed a now-settled lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs for alleged abuse, rape, and sex trafficking.
According to the documents, the disgraced rapper gave Ventura drugs, physically harmed her, and coerced her to have sex with numerous male prostitutes while he filmed them. In 2018, toward the end of their relationship, Combs forced his way into Ventura's home and purportedly raped her.
This week, disturbing footage released by CNN showed Combs reportedly beating the singer at a hotel, kicking her as she lay motionless on the floor. The rapper has since apologized, but his reputation may never recover.
Also this week, a resurfaced video from Combs' interview with Jimmy Kimmel circulated on social media, fueling speculations about their friendship.
As the two discussed Combs' possible presidential run, Kimmel told him, "If you agreed to run for president, I would be happy to be your running mate. Let's put it down, alright?"
Kimmel, like Combs, has a problematic history, which includes dressing up in blackface and seemingly sexualizing children. In 2022, when interviewing Wednesday star Jenna Ortega, he alluded to Disney child stars having sex. He has also featured strange skits on Jimmy Kimmel Live, most notably his "Toddlers & Tiaras" episode with Tom Hanks, in which the actor referred to babies as "sexy."
Many now wonder how many people knew about P. Diddy's alleged RICO criminal history and if his high-profile friends were involved. Would it be that difficult to believe that the rapper had a network of powerful friends who covered the alleged trafficking and abuse similar to Jeffrey Epstein? "I have no doubt he said this knowing the real Diddy," wrote @ms_babyrussell on X, referring to Kimmel.
"They're both gross," added @KelemenCari.
"If you think P. Diddy is the only one, you're sadly mistaken. Lots of dominoes are about to fall. His friends are dead silent about it. He's also associated with A LOT of famous people. People we've been suspecting for a long time. People like Jimmy Kimmel," wrote @Pheonix2A_1980s. "Just watch. Bookmark it if you have to. I'm calling it now."
Jimmy Kimmel has yet to comment on the controversy.
