Johnny Depp Admits He Did Drugs With Paul Bettany And Joked With Him About Killing Amber Heard In Text Messages
Johnny Depp's defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard continues in Fairfax County, Virginia, and now he is being cross examined by Heard's attorneys.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard had an ugly enough divorce in 2016, but things are only getting uglier as this lawsuit develops. Over the past couple of days, Depp took the stand to testify and claim his innocence. He insisted that he has never "struck any woman in my life," even though Heard accused him of physical abuse, and he also admitted that he has had issues with drugs, particularly opioids, in the past. But now Heard's attorneys are cross examining him to uncover even more damning evidence.
Johnny Depp Admits He Did Drugs with Celebrities Like Paul Bettany and Joked About Killing Amber Heard
It certainly won't come as a surprise that Johnny Depp did drugs with other A-list actors, as celebrities tend to do. He admitted on the stand that he has taken drugs with his "good friend" Paul Bettany, with whom he has starred in Mortdecai and The Tourist. Depp, 58, also said he participated in drug use with Marilyn Manson. "We've had cocaine together maybe a couple of times," he said. Then he joked, "I once gave Marilyn Manson a pill so that he would stop talking so much."
The jury was also shown a picture of Depp who was "passed out" on the couch with a tub of ice cream that was spilling out all over him. Depp says this was taken after he finished working a 17-hour work day in Boston in 2014 for Black Mass. However, around that time, he was texting Bettany about his increased drug use.
“Drank all night before I picked Amber up to fly to LA this past Sunday … Ugly, mate … No food for days … Powders … Half a bottle of Whiskey, a thousand red bull and vodkas, pills, 2 bottles of Champers on plane,” Depp wrote in the text.
Even more incriminating were the 2013 text messages shown to the jury in which Depp joked with Bettany about murdering Heard. "Let's drown her before we burn her!!! I will f--- her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she is dead," Depp wrote.
"My thoughts entirely! Lets be CERTAIN before we pronounce her a witch," Bettany replied.
Depp confirmed on the stand that he was in fact talking about Heard; this was before they were married. Bettany's reps have yet to respond about this text exchange.
