Julia Fox "Literally Cried" On Her 27th Birthday Because 30 Is "Considered Old" In The Entertainment Industry
Women in Hollywood are impossibly beautiful and it sometimes feels like they never age. But model and actress Julia Fox, 32, says this is a toxic trait of the entertainment industry. She admitted on TikTok that she cried her eyes out when she turned 27 because she was no longer considered to be in her mid-20s.

Julia Fox is best known for her role in Uncut Gems and her short-lived relationship with Kanye West in early 2022, but she's also a candid TikToker who has 1.2 million followers. In a series of TikToks, she described the sadness she felt when she turned 27 years old and how it relates to the ageism she witnesses in the shallow world of Hollywood.

Julia got on TikTok to talk about the graceful act of aging that is all but forgotten in a society that is obsessed with making women look younger than they actually are. "Aging is fully in, like fully," she declares in her video. "And if I see another product that has anti-aging on the label, I'm suing. I'm going to sue because I'm going to age regardless of if I put the f*cking $500 serum on my face... Let's stop lying to ourselves."
Julia also says it's trendy to wear clothes that don't fit your body type, encouraging women with big bellies to wear low-cut jeans and let their belly hang over the waistband. "Getting old is f*cking hot," she says, adding that getting old might be the sexiest time of life. She says being in your 20s and looking effortlessly young "is the f*cking trenches and I'm not going back there."
Someone commented, "Girl, what you are 30? Please." She responded with yet another video agreeing that 30 isn't actually old. "But I literally cried on my 27th birthday because I could no longer say mid-20s," she adds. "This is how deep this sh*t is for women. In the entertainment industry, 30 is f*cking considered old."
This is something most people already know about the entertainment industry. As a woman, age is not on your side. It seems like stars are born younger and younger every year (ie, Millie Bobby Brown) and the older they get, the more work they get done on their face to appear younger.
Julia also made a video clarifying the fact that she has never intentionally lost weight in order to fit into sample sizes. She attributes her recent weight loss to being a busy single mom who is running after a toddler. "My weight loss was 1 trillion percent unintentional," she says. She adds she was "rapidly dropping weight" after giving birth to her son and even though she kept eating she naturally kept losing weight.
