Julia Fox Says She Dated Kanye West So He Would Leave Kim Kardashian Alone

Julia Fox is telling her fans the real reason why she dated Kanye. "I was just gonna write about it in my book and then have y'all buy it, but I'll just tell you guys for free," says Fox. The actress insinuates in her TikTok that there was no way for her to judge Kanye's true character when she was with him. "The man [Kanye] was being normal around me!" According to Fox, the Kardashians used to sell her fashion line in their stores, which explains her "love for Kim," Khloe, and Kourtney.

Kanye apparently kept reaching out to Fox, but the star says she wasn't really answering. "I don't really wanna talk up with a celebrity again, you know what I mean, nothing ever comes with it. They're kinda boring, like, they're not what you think they're gonna be like,” she says. “But he kept going and going, and he was like 'you have bad text etiquette!' And then I was like, 'oh my god, Kanye is yelling at me!’ Like, what do I do? But then I had this thought! And I was like, 'oh my god!' Maybe I can get him off of Kim's case. Maybe I can distract him, like, just get him to like me.” Fox proudly says that she knew that if anyone could distract Kanye from Kim, it would be her. “Because if I set my mind to something, I do it,” she says.

Kanye did not have a social media presence while he was dating Fox, and he didn't talk about his relationship with her either. Even though their romance was short-lived, Fox admits she had a great time. "We only really talked about clothes and like, weird ideas, and plans for the future, and our hopes and dreams for childhood and education,” she continues, “It was really beautiful, guys." But once Kanye went back on social media – Fox called it quits. “The moment he started tweeting, I was out.”

Fox says the media falsely reported that she was in a relationship with the rapper while he was on social media. Once Kanye started speaking out, Fox tried to help him out. "I was delusional, I thought I could help him," she says. But despite Kanye's remarks, Fox still admires his work. "I really deeply respect the man as an artist, I don't wanna sh*t on that. I don't wanna reduce his whole career to his really bad moments. But that being said, I stand with the Jewish community, period."

In December 2021, Julia Fox met Kanye on New Year's Eve at a Miami performance. She described the rapper's energy as "fun to be around" and that he kept her and her friends "laughing, dancing, and smiling all night." One month later, Fox and West decided to go on a second date to see Slave Play on Broadway. The couple made their debut together at Paris Men's Fashion Week, wearing matching denim outfits. On Valentine's Day, the pair apparently called it quits. "I tried my best to make it work," said Julia.
