If You Wouldn’t Promote An Employee For Not Doing Their Job, Why Should We Promote Kamala Harris?

Let’s say, hypothetically, you had an employee who not only failed to accomplish the tasks you laid out for her, but actively made your company less successful in the process. Would you give her a promotion?

We’ve all worked in an office with that one lazy co-worker who seems to continuously skate by instead of ever facing consequences for her actions. She’s late to meetings (if she shows up at all), she fails to complete projects on time (or simply ignores them altogether), and makes up excuses whenever she’s confronted about dropping the ball.

Having an inept coworker is not only frustrating, but weighs down the entire team because their lack of effort and general incompetence undermines valuable efforts and reflects badly on the entire company.

Now, imagine that this incompetent co-worker is not just your co-worker, but the vice president of your company. Based on the consistent string of failures you’ve witnessed, would you advocate for them to get promoted to president? No, you wouldn’t, because that would obviously lead to disaster. So why should it be any different with our government?

Kamala Harris has been the acting Vice President for almost four years now, and in that time, she’s accomplished very, very little. Many argue that her actions (and inactions) have made our country less prosperous and safe than it was four years ago.

Inflation is running rampant, there are two hot wars in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, our border is not secure, and our national debt is the highest it’s ever been.

Now, Kamala Harris is hitting the campaign trail (after her party kicked Joe Biden to the curb and gave her the nomination in what should be a national scandal, but somehow isn’t) and asking us to not only ignore all the failures of the administration she is still an active part of, but to elect her to the highest office in the land.

Let’s break down some of Kamala’s biggest failures during her time as VP and why she’s completely undeserving of that promotion.

The Southern Border

Kamala Harris has worked very hard to distance herself from her record on the Southern border, even going so far as to claim that she was never the border czar – despite the fact that Joe Biden explicitly said she was tasked with “leading the effort” to “enhance migration enforcement.” Several media outlets dubbed her border czar at the time, only to backtrack once she was held to account for her inaction

Whether or not Kamala Harris was ever officially called the border czar, however, is irrelevant because it’s an argument over semantics. She was charged with overseeing the Southern border, and she has failed.

During Harris’s time as Vice President, the illegal immigration crisis has exploded. According to the Census Bureau, the foreign-born population has never been as high as it is now, nor has it grown as quickly. Additionally, the percentage of the foreign-born population lacking permanent legal status has never been as high as it is today.

Yes, many of the people illegally crossing our border are hard-working and seeking a better life, but they are still breaking a law and undermining our immigration system. And many of the people illegally crossing the border have bad intentions, whether it’s drug trafficking, human trafficking, or other crimes.

It is because of Kamala Harris’s policies that criminals exploit the massive holes in our border, enter illegally, and go on to murder innocent American citizens like Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, Rachel Morin, and countless others.

It’s clear that Harris knows her border policies have failed because she’s now using images of Donald Trump’s border wall in her campaign ads, while claiming she’s been tough on the border all along – but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Afghanistan

Kamala Harris has bragged that she was the last person in the room when Biden decided to move forward with his disastrous pullout from Afghanistan. When questioned by CNN’s Dana Bash on whether she was comfortable with the plan, Kamala answered that yes, she was. So she was comfortable with a plan that ended up getting 13 U.S. service members killed at Bagram Air Base.

She was comfortable with a plan that stranded thousands of Americans and Afghan allies behind enemy lines, leaving them in grave danger at the hands of the Taliban. She was comfortable with a plan that left millions of helpless Afghan women and girls under the strict rules of the Taliban, where they’re forbidden from going to school beyond age 12 or showing their faces or speaking publicly, and where countless girls are raped and forced to marry at the age of 9.

No one in the Biden-Harris administration has ever taken responsibility for this catastrophic tragedy, including Kamala Harris.

Israel and Ukraine

When America displays weakness on the world stage, it inspires our adversaries to act on their worst instincts, and that was made clear when Russia decided to invade Ukraine less than six months after the United States pulled out of Afghanistan. Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party consistently claim there’s collusion going on between Trump and Putin, but Putin notably did not invade Ukraine while Trump was in office.

Over a million people have now been killed or injured in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Rather than putting together a plan to de-escalate and find an off-ramp from conflict, the Biden-Harris administration has slow-walked aid and provided zero plans to end the war that began under their watch.

There has been tension between Israel and Iran-backed Hamas for decades, but it wasn’t until the Biden-Harris administration that Hamas made the bold move to cross into Israel, where they brutally murdered 1,200 Jewish civilians and captured over 250 hostages, including many Americans. Yet the Biden-Harris administration has done very little to negotiate for their release.

Kamala Harris also refused to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he addressed Congress back in July. Harris claims to want a two-state solution between Hamas and Israel while failing to acknowledge that the only solution Hamas is interested in is one where Israel ceases to exist entirely. The Biden-Harris insistence on playing both sides and refusing to sufficiently back Israel in eliminating Hamas has resulted in many more deaths of innocent Israelis and Palestinians.

Inflation

The reason why Kamala Harris won’t answer the question every time she’s asked whether Americans are better off now than they were four years ago is because the answer is no, they are not – and she knows it. Even during the pandemic back in 2020, gas prices were far lower than they are now, averaging $2.17 per gallon whereas they now average $3.22.

The prices of everyday goods such as eggs, milk, bread, and meat have all risen dramatically over the last four years. Thanks to interest rates doubling since 2020, it is now cheaper to rent a home than to own one in most areas of the country. More and more Americans are seeing the dream of home ownership slowly slipping away because they can’t afford a 6-7% mortgage rate. Four years ago, mortgage rates were closer to 3%.

All of these price increases are thanks to the inflationary spending and policies of the Biden-Harris administration. They championed the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” which did the exact opposite of what its title claimed, dumping billions of dollars into Green New Deal spending measures, taxing natural gas use, and driving up inflation rates around the country. The legislation also calls for hiring 87,000 new IRS agents to audit everyday Americans.

Kamala Harris likes to claim that the inflation rate has come down under her watch, and that’s true, but only because it skyrocketed so high during her tenure that she feels the need to praise even a small reduction. That small reduction in inflation is in spite of – not because of – policies like the “Inflation Reduction Act.”

Furthermore, Kamala Harris has no plan to lower the cost of living. The Harris Campaign avoids talking about policy as much as possible (because they don’t have any good ones), but if her record as Vice President is any indication, you can bet that if she is elected as President, inflation will continue to rise, and goods, gas, and interest rates will become even more unaffordable than they are today.

The Cover-Up of Biden’s Cognitive Decline

As Vice President, Kamala Harris also failed to be open and honest with the American people about Biden’s cognitive decline. Over the course of the last four years, it’s been obvious to everyone that Joe Biden is not the man he once was. He has a hard time completing his thoughts, struggles to get words out, doesn’t remember things that have happened recently, and appears frail every time he’s on camera.

As one of the people closest to him, Kamala Harris has had a front-row seat to his decline over the last four years, which became impossible for the Democrat Party to avoid talking about after his disastrous debate with Trump in June.

Biden’s mental infirmity is the entire reason that Kamala Harris is now the Democratic nominee, and she still refuses to admit that there’s anything wrong with him. Even The Hill admits that Kamala’s coronation ignores the obvious question: “If all these other figures could see the country was being led by a very unsteady president, mentally and physically, wouldn’t Harris be able to see that too? In what possible scenario is President Biden’s vice president not directly involved in the cover-up?”

Kamala Harris has the power to invoke the 25th Amendment but refuses to use it and instead chooses to lie to the American people about the state of Biden’s health. If she’s willing to lie about something so obvious and grave, what isn’t she willing to lie about?

Closing Thoughts

If Kamala Harris is elected, she’ll be the first female president ever, but will it really reflect well on women if our first female president is completely incompetent? When I cast my vote for the first female president, I want to do it because she is the most qualified person for the job – not simply because she’s a woman. If Kamala Harris has proven anything over the last four years, it’s that the only thing she’s capable of is failure. Why would you ever give someone like that a promotion?
