It's been two months since the Princess of Wales disclosed her ongoing battle with cancer to the media.

Kate Middleton, who got caught up in theories while keeping a low profile, revealed on March 22 that healthcare professionals discovered she had cancer following an abdominal surgery in January. "In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful; however, tests after the operation found cancer had been present," she said in a statement.

Middleton explained that she was advised to undergo chemotherapy and was in the early stages of treatment, adding that she and Prince William have been doing everything they can to "process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family."

The latest news about the Princess isn't too detailed, but it has raised some concerns among the royal fans. "The Princess of Wales will probably 'not appear in public for the rest of the year,' and is being 'surrounded' by her birth family as she continues a course of preventive chemotherapy having been diagnosed with cancer earlier this year," sources close to Middleton and William told The Daily Beast.

“Lots of people involved in planning need to know what all the principals are doing a long way in advance. I am told that Kate’s diary for this year is empty. There is nothing planned. She may not appear in public for the rest of the year.” When they were asked how The Palace would deal with the resurgence of conspiracy theories, they said, “I would not rule out another video message updating the country on her health. That proved to be a very effective way of keeping the conspiracy theorists at bay.”

A friend told the outlet, “The key thing for her now is avoiding any kind of stress or anxiety and just getting on with the business of getting better. They will bail out and be off to Sandringham the moment school breaks up.”

The friend said Middleton preferred to confide in her family rather than her and William’s circle of friends, stating, “The circle of trust is tiny. She has been surrounded by Carole and Michael, and (sister) Pippa and (brother) James have obviously been there for her as well. They are an incredibly tight family, and Catherine feels absolutely confident relying on them. They have been there for her for decades and never let her down.”

Unfortunately for Middleton, the theories are already making rounds on the internet, and fans are concerned for her well-being.

Despite the speculations, Middleton was spotted out in public running errands, according to PEOPLE's source.

Middleton has said herself that she's getting better as her husband remains by her side. She continued, "As I've said to them, I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal in my mind, body, and spirits. Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance, too, as is the love, support, and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both."

"We hope that you'll understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space, and privacy while I complete my treatment. My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy, and I look forward to being back when I'm able, but for now, I must focus on making a full recovery. At this time, I'm also thinking of all those whose lives have been affected by cancer. For everyone facing this disease, in whatever form, please do not lose faith or hope. You are not alone."
