Kim Kardashian Admits There's "Something So Liberating" About Her Divorce From Kanye West

All eyes are on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West as they navigate their very public divorce that seems to grow more drama-filled by the day. Kim recently sat down with Vogue to share some glimpses of her family life and spill the beans on how things have changed post-Kanye.

The billionaire and business owner Kim Kardashian is now 41 years old, and she told Vogue that she has been doing "what made other people happy" for far too long. “And I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy," she said. "And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy."

Kim Is Going To Focus on Herself for a While

Ending her marriage with rapper and entrepreneur Kanye has given Kim the chance to focus on herself. “My 40s are about being Team Me," she shared. "I’m going to eat well. I’m going to work out. I’m going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy. I’m going to put my phone down."

Not only does she want to spend more time with her ever-growing family, but Kim wants to invest more time and energy into her "lifers," the girlfriends she's known for most of her life.

“My 40s are about being Team Me."

Turning 40 was a huge milestone for her, especially when it comes to prioritizing herself without worrying about what others might think. Not surprisingly, she has been silent about her relationship with SNL comedian Pete Davidson, who she's been seen cuddling with in recent months.

“I just try to live my life and be happy for people,” she said. “And I think when you just live your life like that, you block it out. It’s like a racehorse that puts on blinders so they can see clearly and straight."

Kim Looks To Her Future in Fashion

It's no secret that Kanye helped propel Kim forward as a fashion icon in America. Kim talked about how different it will be moving forward in her career without Kanye shaping her look.

“I always think, What will be next?” she shared. Maybe she'll be in Skims "and be so comfy and casual and wear no makeup." She wondered aloud, "Maybe it's just not that serious."

Kim admitted that the future is exciting. “Because I always had Kanye, who knew exactly what the next fashion era would be for me. And there’s something scary about being out there on your own, but also something so liberating,” she said.

Kanye Responds on Instagram

Kanye has been quite active on his Instagram page lately, starting by posting a screenshot of his daughter North on TikTok in disbelief and disapproval that Kim is allowing her on social media. He has since deleted this post, along with a few others, but his most recent one is clearly in response to Kim's Vogue interview.

"GOD PLEASE BRING OUR FAMILY BACK TOGETHER," he wrote in the caption on February 9. He used one of the photos from Kim's Vogue shoot that features her and all their children.

Kanye isn't clear about what exactly he means by the caption. Considering he is currently in a relationship with Julia Fox and Kim seems to be dating Pete Davidson, perhaps he isn't necessarily looking for a reconciliation of their marriage but rather a happy reunion of their family. Whatever the case may be, Kanye is sending a clear message that he's nowhere close to being over Kim.
