Kim Kardashian Says She's "Disgusted And Outraged" By Balenciaga's Ad Campaign That Glamorizes Pedophilia
Kim Kardashian finally decided to break her silence on Balenciaga’s recent ad campaigns that featured children with teddy bears in bondage outfits.
Balenciaga ambassador Kim Kardashian has finally decided to break her silence on the brand's recent controversy. "I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened," the SKIMS founder tweeted on November 27.
"As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images," she continues, "The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period."
Apparently, Kim is now rethinking her partnership with Balenciaga. "As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with — & the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children," she writes.
Kim Kardashian became a brand ambassador for the company in early 2022. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star also has four kids with Kanye West, who cut ties with Balenciaga in October. The rapper has been vocal in the past about his children's safety, leading many to support him instead of Kim. "I can see now why Kanye wants to protect his kids at all costs! Pathetic statement!" commented @thunderingG.

Balenciaga recently went under fire this month for releasing their Gift Shop campaign that featured children holding teddy bears in bondage gear. Additionally, the luxury brand posted photos on its website containing sensitive material that seemed to glorify pedophilia and cannibalism. After their disturbing advertisements caused widespread outrage, Balenciaga issued an official apology and filed a $25 million lawsuit against the producers of the ad campaign.
