The couple already got married in a "practice wedding" in Vegas and legally got hitched in a courthouse in Santa Barbara. This time Kourtney and Travis gathered with friends and family in Portofino, Italy to walk down the aisle, and they were decked out in Dolce and Gabbana. But Kourtney's dress has been causing quite the stir.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker Celebrated in an Italian Castle

The actual wedding ceremony was at a villa called L'Olivetta that's owned by Dolce & Gabbana. Shortly after, everyone gathered at a beautiful castle in Portofino called Castello Brown for the reception. The festivities spanned across four whole days, and TMZ reports that the celebrations aren't done yet - they plan to keep the party going with another reception in L.A. when they return home.

Castello Brown was used as a stronghold in military battles as early as the 13th century, and it even served as a set for the 1990s film The Enchanted April. The castle is on the coast, offering stunning views of the Italian landscape. The newlyweds danced to "Can't Help Falling in Love," sung by legend Andrea Bocelli. Photos and videos were shared everywhere online in the days after the wedding, featuring Kourtney's ensemble choice that is anything but traditional.

People Have a Lot to Say about Kourtney Kardashian's Wedding Dress

Kourtney's custom dress featured a corset style with a mini-skirt, which was odd enough for a wedding, but photos also revealed that she wore a long sheer veil that featured a picture of Mother Mary. She did a couple of outfit changes throughout the celebrations, but she kept the mini-dress theme the whole time.

Many people are unhappy with her choice of fashion, especially Catholics who honor Mother Mary as the mother of Jesus. Love Shack Fancy reposted a picture of Kourtney at the altar with Travis, and most of the comments were scathing. One user said it was "shockingly disrespectful" to wear that kind of outfit in a church. Another said, "This is so disrespectful and sacrilegious, they are not Catholic!" Many were also announcing that they were unfollowing Love Shack Fancy for sharing this photo as inspiration.

When Vogue shared the same photo on its Instagram page, users also commented unhappily with the fact that Dolce & Gabbana was the featured designer at this wedding, considering the fact that they have dressed Melania Trump in the past.

"As happy as we are for them every single look was TERRRIBLE!!! Dolce & Gabbana has very publicly based Gay families and the Chinese. To choose to work in a sponsorship like this is such a socially irresponsible thing to do!" one user commented.

Many also pointed out that the dress was nothing more than glorified lingerie paired with a long veil. There were also many more comments about how blasphemous and disrespectful it was to wear Mother Mary's image on her dress, particularly considering the fact that they're not Catholic.
