At the 2021 Met Gala, Kim Kardashian wore a black dress that covered every inch of her body, including her whole face and head. It was one of the most talked-about outfits of the night. The Kardashian-Jenner sisters are used to generating this kind of attraction, just like Kourtney did when she wore her Mother Mary wedding mini-dress. Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the clan, made a splash in the headlines when she showed up to Paris Fashion Week wearing one of her more bold outfits.

Kylie Jenner Accused of "Animal Cruelty" After Carrying Around a Faux Lion Head at Paris Fashion Week

On Sunday, Kylie, 25, attended the Schiaparelli show at Paris Fashion Week in a lioness outfit. She wore a strapless black gown with her hair in a high ponytail, along with a large faux lion head on the front of her shoulder. It looks realistic with incredible details of the facial features and fur. Kylie shared multiple photos of her outfit on her Instagram page, writing in the caption, "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. thank you @danielroseberry and @schiaparelli for such a special morning. wow i loved wearing this faux art creation constructed by hand using manmade materials. beautiful beautiful."

She carried a small, black and gold handbag with the dress and it seemed as though the lion head was attached to the front of her dress. It was even on the dress as she sat down to watch the fashion show. Her Instagram post has more than 4 million likes so far and there are some comments of support from celebrities such as Shay Mitchell. However, while some people found the look to be daring and memorable, there are many more comments that indicate how disappointed they are that Kylie would choose to wear such an outfit.

"There are times when you just say no. This was one of them. 👎🏻," someone wrote.

"But why. Why why why even imitate this. I’m thankful it’s faux but the imagery is still disturbing," another person commented.

"One of your worst fashion mistakes of all time," another person said.

"I thought animal cruelty was outt fashiom😢 Real or not it looks soo wrong," someone wrote.

"Guess more Americans will be flocking to Africa now to get the latest wildlife accessories. Promoting hunting. As a South African, This is wrong on so many levels, The king of our jungle is not a fashion statement, like WTF," someone else wrote.

Many more people chimed in to agree that even if this lion head is fake, it promotes trophy hunting, poaching, and the senseless killing of wildlife for sport. Even many of her loyal fans are upset that she would make this fashion choice, adding that it only proves how out of touch she is with the rest of the world. All living lions are considered to be "vulnerable" in terms of conservation status. Their population is decreasing and there are some lions that are on the brink of extinction except in captivity. According to the African Wildlife Foundation, lions have lost 85% of their historic range.

Kylie has yet to respond to any of the comments, but this certainly isn't the first time that the Kardashian-Jenner sisters have raised controversy over their dresses. Kourtney was heavily criticized for wearing a wedding dress that featured Mother Mary all over the skirt; she was accused of being blasphemous and appropriating Christianity.

But moments like these are never addressed by the Kardashian-Jenner family, so Kylie's lion head moment will probably be forgotten in a few days and be replaced with yet another viral fashion moment.
