Look no further, Lanatics: Lana Del Rey is set to release her 10th studio album, The Right Person Will Stay, on May 21, under Interscope/Polydor Records. The singer-songwriter announced the exciting news on Instagram this week.

“So grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke, Jack, Zach and Drew Erickson amongst others," she wrote in the caption. "Happy for you to hear a few songs coming up before Stagecoach 🚴 🧣 starting with Henry. Love always."

Her previous album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, garnered critical acclaim and a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. While it lost to Taylor Swift's Midnights, Del Rey is collaborating again with producers like Jack Antonoff, Zachary Dawes, Luke Laird, and Drew Erickson.

What We Know

According to Deadline, the track "Henry" seems to be a callback to a song she teased earlier this year, tentatively titled "Henry, Come On." Del Rey fans probably noticed her shift into more country-inspired territory, especially with her 2022 cover of John Denver’s "Take Me Home, Country Roads."

If The Right Person Will Stay leans fully into a country vibe, it would align with a growing trend of pop artists embracing Americana influences. Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter, for example, and Morgan Wallen have dominated charts with their country hits. Del Rey’s Southern Gothic lyricism feels like a natural fit for the genre.

Del Rey is slated to perform at Stagecoach in April before the album's release, which is also the opening night of the country festival. For the Lanatics who simply can't wait, the singer promises more tracks ahead of the album drop, with "Henry" kicking things off soon.

None of these hints about her upcoming album surprises us. Del Rey has consistently delivered Americana-themed sounds with themes of love, longing, and heartbreak. In a recent Vogue interview, she described her upcoming album as “rooted in Americana, unless it’s an album like Honeymoon, which has a jazz flair. If anything, it will just be a little lighter lyrically and more pointed in a classic country, American, or Southern Gothic production – which again, so many of my songs already are.”

The Right Person Will Stay will be fresh and expected to showcase a more intimate side of Del Rey’s artistry.
