Liberal Women Mock "Republican Makeup" On TikTok And Accidentally Look Hotter

A new TikTok trend called #republicansona mocking the makeup styles of conservative women has taken a hilariously unexpected turn: the liberal women trying it are accidentally glowing up.

The trend appears to have been started by influencer Suzanne Lambert, who dubs herself a “liberal Regina George” and built a whole persona around the idea that liberals are "too nice," despite over half of the country and nearly every demographic frequently recounting the exact opposite experience.

In one video, she complains that conservatives can’t handle her mean-girl tactics because they’re too accustomed to “peace, love, and sunshine liberals”—which raises the obvious question: What liberals is she talking about?

In one video, she suggests that when people sarcastically call liberals “the party of love and acceptance” online, it’s meant as validation rather than a pointed critique of the fact that they rarely, if ever, demonstrate those qualities—hence the irony.

Nevertheless, she posted a “tutorial” implying that Republican women are bad at applying makeup. The quickly took off, with other liberal women joining in, wiping away their heavy contouring and bold, exaggerated features in favor of a softer, more feminine look they assumed would be a downgrade. Instead, each transformation only proved the obvious: feminine makeup is effortlessly flattering.

The comments were a hilarious mix of genuine amazement at the transformations and people amused by the hard-to-ignore irony. Lambert and her fellow mean girls set out to mock Republican women only to accidentally make themselves look exponentially more attractive in the process.

The captions, which often mock consevative women for being religious, living close to their families, or wanting a family of their own, likely reveal the true purpose of the #Republicansona challenge: giving liberals a chance to air their prejudices towards women who are more attractive, happier, well-liked, have loving families, and practice Christianity. According to them, these traits are inherently “Republican”—and honestly, who am I to argue? The research backs it up.

It’s reminiscent of the recent New York Magazine debacle, where the publication attempted to mock a group of Republican college students but inadvertently made them look iconic instead. Liberal women online frantically insisted, “No, no, they were making fun of you!” while completely missing the fact that their so-called enemies looked objectively attractive despite the magazine's best efforts to make them look bad.

At this rate, the next big TikTok trend might be “liberal women mock Republican hairstyles”—only to end up ditching the green and purple dye and walking away with the best blowout of their lives. Either way, Trump's making America hot again at record speed, and we love to see it.
