The 26-year-old model revealed she was rushed to the hospital after suffering a violent seizure from taking a dosage far too high for her body weight.

Lottie Moss explained that she began using Ozempic because she felt unhappy with her weight, despite weighing only 130 pounds at the time. A friend managed to get her the drug, but Moss was unaware of the risks associated with taking a dosage meant for someone weighing over 100 kilograms. She quickly lost 15 pounds, but her health deteriorated rapidly.

"It was the worst decision I ever made," Moss said, recalling the experience. "I wish I had known the dangers before I took it." She suffered severe side effects, including constant nausea and dehydration, leading to two days of being bedridden before she was rushed to the emergency room.

The situation escalated when Moss had a seizure due to extreme dehydration. "It was one of the scariest things that has ever happened to me," she admitted. Moss also mentioned that the nurse treating her was shocked by how much weight she had lost in just two weeks and the high dosage she had taken, which was meant for someone far larger than herself.

The incident has prompted Moss to issue a public warning about Ozempic: "At the end of the day, it is a medication. It is dangerous and really meant for weight loss in people of a very large size." Moss cautioned others not to be tempted by the promise of rapid weight loss, stressing that the risks far outweigh the benefits. "Please, if you're thinking of taking it, do not take it. It's so not worth it."

Ozempic’s rise in Hollywood stems from its effectiveness in rapid weight loss, with stars like Sharon Osbourne and Caroline Stanbury publicly praising it. Osbourne, for example, revealed that she dropped from 230 pounds to under 100 with its help, while Stanbury admitted to using the drug to regain her pre-40s body.

However, other celebrities have also faced serious side effects. Macy Gray reported intense stomach pain after using the drug, while Johann Hari discussed the profound psychological effects. Hari described how the drug made him lose his ability to overeat as a coping mechanism, leading to emotional distress despite significant weight loss. He noted that Ozempic prevents you from overeating because it induces nausea, a side effect that often leaves users feeling physically and emotionally drained.

There are also aesthetic concerns associated with the drug, such as "Ozempic face," where the rapid weight loss can lead to a prematurely aged appearance due to sagging skin.

Many medical professionals are alarmed by its growing off-label use. The widespread demand for Ozempic has even caused shortages, making it harder for diabetes patients to access the drug.

Patients have reported additional issues like extreme gastric problems, debilitating constipation, and even low libido, making it clear that the risks can outweigh the benefits for those using it primarily for cosmetic reasons. As the Ozempic trend continues, experts are calling for more caution and a better understanding of the drug's long-term impacts, especially for those using it without medical supervision.
