Man Claims Kim Kardashian Ruined His Life And Alleges She Stole His Work: "I Ended Up Losing Everything"

Kim Kardashian has been accused of scamming David Liebensohn, who alleges that “Kimoji” – a mobile app with Kardashian-themed emojis – was a stolen idea. David says he lost everything while Kim profited off his work, and he's had to sacrifice "a comfortable living situation" to sleep in his car.

David Liebensohn says he is now sleeping in his car after Kim Kardashian allegedly stole his idea in 2014. At some point, David and his team became acquainted with Kim and “momager” Kris Jenner, and they pitched them a Kardashian-themed emoji app called “Kimoji.” The Kardashians then ran with the idea (according to David) and launched it themselves. In 2019, David filed a federal lawsuit against Kim for $300 million dollars.

David says he used to be a "successful entrepreneur" who was "heavily invested" in a few tech projects. He co-founded "Censorgram," an app that removes spam and unwanted comments from social media profiles. David mentions that it had many customers, including Kim Kardashian herself. According to David, Kim’s friend – Jonathan Cheban – reached out to him and his team because Kim was interested in partnering with them on their preexisting app. David and his team flew to Kim's Calabasas mansion to meet with her and Kris Jenner. This was when David and his colleagues pitched "Kimoji" to the millionaire.

Kim and her team reportedly agreed to be "equal partners" – as David states – on Kimoji, and to split Censorgram 60-40% with them. Naturally, the entrepreneur and his colleagues were on cloud nine. "Everyone was excited after this meeting, and Kim's team verbally agreed to sign off on both projects, with pending net contracts to come," he reveals.

But things went downhill upon David and his coworkers leaving. "Kim called us and asked if our team had filed a trademark and told us that her team would file it for us," he explains. "Sadly, that never happened. Kim's team filed the trademark behind our back and cut us out of the deal completely." Kim's lawyer reportedly threatened to sue David and each of his team members for $5 million dollars if they refused to hand over the Kimoji trademark, as well as "the right to use proprietary IP for a comment control project," alleging that one of his partners violated Kim's privacy.

"At the time we were young businessmen and scared to lose our life savings, investments and families," David adds. Attorneys later discovered that the privacy violation was "inapplicable," but by that time, it was already too late. Kim launched Kimoji and made incredible profits off the mobile app. At its launch, it had 9,000 downloads a second – earning $1 million per minute, despite the average rating it received on the App Store.

"My partners and I never saw a single dollar. All we saw was billboard after billboard, article after article praising the Kardashian family for being so business savvy," David explains. "Seeing their empire grow more and more each year, has been triggering, as this family is impossible to avoid in this Kardashian-infested world." David claims he lost all the money he invested in the patent and "wasted" hundreds of thousands on legal fees.

He later filed a lawsuit that was "mishandled" by his ex-attorney, who reportedly added the Kimoji case to his bio, even though there was no resolution. In addition, the Kardashian team hit David with over $400,000 in legal fees "from arbitration" that he was, as he claims, not a part of. This was all allegedly to keep David silent. "They used this as a threat for me to keep my mouth shut: 'Shut up or we'll take your assets and garnish your wages.'"

David says he has to work three jobs and sleeps in his car in order to spread his message. Now that there is "nothing left for them to take," David is determined to get his story out there. "I've never stopped thinking about what I could do to hold them accountable and get my life back. I decided it's time for me to finally share this story that's been eating me alive for years and hopefully find a light at the end of the tunnel."
