Margot Robbie Is Making "The Sims" Movie, According To Reports
The beloved video game "Sims" is reportedly being made into a movie, and it's all thanks to Margot Robbie.

According to Variety, the Barbie star, her husband Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, and Sophia Kerr's LuckyChap production company are teaming up with Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo Entertainment to release a Sims movie. The crew is also alleged to be partnered with the game's publisher, Electronic Arts.
Kate Herron, director of Loki, and writer Briony Redman will also be on the project and will write the screenplay, per The Hollywood Reporter.
If you're not familiar with the Sims, the 24-year-old simulation has become an icon in the gaming industry thanks to its immersive gameplay and creative freedom.
The announcement follows the success of the Barbie movie, which has made a staggering 1.446 billion dollars, nearly landing itself in the top 10 highest-grossing films in U.S. The Sims has been a hit in its own right – selling almost over 200 million copies worldwide, making it one of the biggest game franchises ever. According to reports, The Sims movie is still in the early stages of development, and it's unclear which studio will release it.
