Meghan Trainor Admits She Can't Smile Anymore Due To "Too Much Botox": "I Messed Up"
Meghan Trainor admits she went too far with Botox, saying she "messed up" and can no longer smile.
Meghan Trainor’s cosmetic procedures have taken a turn she didn’t expect.
The "All About That Bass" singer, 30, shared that she’s had "too much Botox," and now she “cannot smile” in a recent episode of Workin’ On It with Meghan Trainor & Ryan Trainor.
“I got too much Botox and I need help,” Meghan confessed, laughing. “I messed up. I've had Botox, like, a handful of times … just my forehead.” Besides Botox, she also tried a lip filler procedure she now regrets as well, saying someone convinced her to get a “lip flip” using filler right above her upper lip, claiming it would give her the perfect pout. Spoiler alert: It didn’t work. “It was not true,” she admitted.
Now, the "Made You Look" singer is paying the price, explaining, “I cannot smile anymore.” She even demonstrated, looking at the camera with the biggest grin she could manage: “Look, this is as big as I can smile.” Her brother, Ryan Trainor, recalled an awkward moment at Home Goods when he noticed her inability to smile and said, “My inside thoughts became my outside thoughts.”
Meghan added that her face “hurts to smile, to even try,” explaining, “everywhere I go I cannot smile.”
Meghan then shared a photo of herself holding a dog at a shelter, laughing that she didn’t look happy, but instead appeared to be “smelling someone’s fart.” Despite the results that it gave her, Meghan's wants to go for a more invasive procedure. She revealed plans for a breast augmentation after having two kids, saying, “My mommy boobies were full of milk and now they're empty.”
While Botox is a go-to beauty treatment for many celebrities (including Cindy Crawford, who’s been vocal about using it as part of her skincare routine), it’s not without risks. The neurotoxin, most commonly used to treat wrinkles, can have some serious side effects, including muscle weakness and, in rare cases, even botulism. The FDA has issued warnings about the dangers Botox poses, especially when injected in excess.
Meghan’s experience is a reminder that even beauty treatments that seem harmless can come with unintended consequences—like not being able to show off your pearly whites. Sometimes, less is more.
