Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin starred in the first two seasons of Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building," and fans are excited to learn that the iconic Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd have joined the star-studded cast for the third installment.
The first episode of "Only Murders in the Building" aired in August 2021, following three strangers who live in an Upper West Side apartment building that join forces to try and figure out what really happened with a grisly death that happened to their neighbor. Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short play characters who all have a special interest in true crime, equipping them with enough knowledge to start an investigation of their own. The comedy-drama has been one of the more popular shows to come out in the last few years and fans are thrilled to learn that a couple Hollywood veterans are joining the cast.

Academy Award winner and Hollywood icon Meryl Streep is the latest cast member of "Only Murders in the Building," along with the beloved Paul Rudd. Steve Martin tweeted a picture of himself with Selena, Martin, Paul, and Meryl, calling themselves "a cast to dream of."
Selena also shared the same photo to her Instagram along with a TikTok showing the latest additions, and the post already has more than half a million likes. "Excuse me while I scream in a pillow," Selena wrote in the caption.
Thousands of comments indicate that fans of the show are thrilled to see such a star-studded cast expand to include even more Hollywood legends. "Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd, Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin all together in a show? I couldn't ask for something better than this!!!" one person commented. The last time Meryl starred in a TV show was the second season of "Big Little Lies" on HBO in 2019. We aren't privy to the details of Meryl's character yet or who she will play. "Only Murders In The Building" won three Emmy Awards for its first season, taking home the prizes for outstanding production design, outstanding sound mixing, and outstanding guest actor (Nathan Lane). It wouldn't be a surprise if the show gathers even more awards after the third installment is released. Filming is currently underway for season 3.
