Millennial Podcasters Are Killing It RN—Here Are Our 11 Favorite Shows To Download
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past decade, you know that podcasts are one of the most popular mediums in entertainment.
There are so many podcasts out there that it’s hard to keep track, but some of our favorites come from fellow Millennials. Here are 11 of our favorite podcasts to listen to.
1. What We Said
High school best friends Chelsey and Jaci invite you into their inner circle in this fun podcast. Though they also get personal about their own lives, I love when they read their listeners' crazy stories, and have guests on to talk about everything from TikTok trends to health and business. They’re the perfect mix of funny and heartfelt, so listening to their show will definitely brighten your day.
2. The Morning Toast
If you’re not following comedians and sisters Claudia Oshry and Jackie Oshry Weinreb on Instagram, then you’re seriously missing out. And if you haven't been listening to their podcast, The Morning Toast, for the past few years, today is the day to start. Every morning, Claudia and Jackie share their hilarious take on the latest pop-culture news and have occasional celebrity guests like Josh Peck and reality star Paige DeSorbo on to discuss the hot gossip.
3. That’s So Sabotage
Real-life friends and fashion influencers Nits, Sophie, and Emma host your go-to podcast for all things girl talk. The ladies talk about beauty, fashion, and relationships through hilarious personal stories while giving advice to their "sisters" (aka listeners). All three girls are so much fun to listen to and go out of their way to make listeners feel included, making it easy for us to put ourselves in their very stylish shoes.
4. ILYSM (I Love You So Much)
Host Kenzie Elizabeth Piper talks about everything related to twenty-something women. From our struggles with dating to our love for pop-culture, Kenzie covers it all. She frequently has guests on her show, including Bachelorette alum Jason Tartick to speak about his new book on entrepreneurship and celebrity makeup artist Alexis Oakley to share beauty tips and tricks.
5. The Good Life with Stevie & Sazan
Husband and wife Stevie and Sazan Hendrix are passionate about spreading positivity through meaningful conversations with each other and various guests. From sharing their cross-cultural love story to speaking to Christian influencer and former Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson Huff about how her faith has impacted her life, you’ll always finish an episode with a smile on your face (and maybe even a tear in your eye).
6. Sliding Doors with Elle Ferguson
You may know Elle Ferguson as the Australian influencer who created her own beauty brand, Elle Effect, but pulling back the curtain to see (or hear) another side of her on her podcast is refreshing. Elle invites various guests in the beauty and fashion industry to help share how they became successful and some of the lessons they learned along the way, leaving listeners feeling inspired and motivated.
7. Only Friends
This podcast is relatively new compared to the other ones on this list, but hosts and real-life best friends Carly and Erin never fail to make me laugh. The hosts talk about topics ranging from personal stories to celebrity gossip, and it truly feels like you’re included in a conversation with some of your best friends. They also tackle semi-serious issues on their audience's minds, like how Timothée Chalamet isn't that hot.
8. The Skinny Confidential
You’ve probably heard of Lauryn Evarts Bosstick’s wildly popular blog, The Skinny Confidential, and her husband Michael Bosstick, entrepreneur and CEO of the Dear Media Podcast Network, joins her for this podcast. Both Lauryn and Michael bring their expertise to the table and have conversations about many taboo and, sometimes controversial, topics. From interviews with best-selling authors to relationship advice, you’ll always leave the episode with a new perspective.
9. Note To Self by Payton Sartain
Consider host Payton Sartain your big sister as she guides you through the craziness of being in your twenties. She gives great advice regarding relationships, friendships, and life in general. I love listening to her because she’s very emotionally intelligent and gives advice that’s sometimes hard to hear but definitely needed. Her recent episode on getting over a guy you never dated really spoke to me and, in my eyes, she’s one of the most relatable podcasters out there.
10. The Netchicks
Sara Gretzky (yes, she’s Wayne Gretzky’s daughter) and Natalie Buck discuss pop-culture, entertainment, and a behind the scenes view into their lives. I love this show because both women are so relatable and talk about some of my favorite reality shows like Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Love Is Blind. They occasionally have guests on and recently hosted Whitney Port of The Hills. Oddly enough, they were just as starstruck as I would've been when they spoke to her.
11. Friend of a Friend
Journalist Olivia Perez talks about fashion, wellness, and pop-culture every Monday on this fun show. Like the title suggests, listening to her makes you feel like you’re listening to someone you already know. From her solo episodes to episodes with guests like Queer Eye’s Tan France and professional chef Alisa Reynolds, listening to this podcast is the perfect way to start your week on a positive note.
