Millie Bobby Brown, 20, Responds To Comments Saying She Looks "Old" In New Selfie

Millie Bobby Brown does not care what you think about her appearance, and we love that for her.

The Stranger Things star recently posted a selfie with a chic Louis Vuitton purse from her latest collaboration with Murakami on the ‘Gram. She looked gorgeous, but some commenters couldn't help but throw shade at the 20-year-old.

People started commenting on how “old” Brown looked. One user went as far as saying, “She skipped 20s & went straight into 40s." Another one chimed in with “42 years old.” 

Brown wasted no time shutting down the haters with a simple response through her Story: “Women grow!! Not sorry about it.” Sure, her style’s a little more “mature” than other Gen Z stars, but so what? There’s no rule that says she has to dress like a teenager forever just because she started her career young.

Fans immediately jumped to Brown’s defense as well, with one woman pointing out, “People expecting her to still be a young girl when she’s literally an adult now is wild.” Another fan added, “Seriously, just because she started her career as a child doesn’t mean she’ll always stay the same. Now she’s a beautiful woman, and you shouldn’t hate on her for something she has no control over.”

Brown got a little extra support from her husband, Jake Bongiovi, who dropped three white heart emojis in the comments. The young couple got married earlier this year, and it’s clear from their posts that they’re both happy in their relationship.

Despite the negative comments, Brown still looks to be in her 20s. But instead of nitpicking her appearance, let’s focus on the real wins! Brown has had an incredibly successful career, becoming one of Hollywood’s most recognizable young stars. She’s also recently entered the new year as a newlywed and wore a beautiful custom Galia Lahav gown to her intimate ceremony with Jake Bongiovi.
