Millie Bobby Brown Says Her Psychic Told Her She Was A Feminist
Millie Bobby Brown says she realized she was indeed a feminist through her psychic.

Millie Bobby Brown, 19, revealed in a recent interview that she found out she was a feminist through a psychic. After her so-called "feminist awakening," the Stranger Things actress looked up "How do I know if I'm a feminist?" on Google. Then, after exposing herself to numerous articles and books, Brown "really grasped the idea of feminism" and what that means to her.
The reactions to the news of Brown finding out she was a feminist through a psychic are hilarious. To summarize, everyone is confused.
Back to the interview. "Ultimately, it's about opportunity," the young actress continued. Through her production company, PCMA Productions, Brown and her sister Paige produce "empowering" films about women. Her latest film, Damsel, will have the typical Hollywood trope we've been seeing a lot of – the strong, leading lady saves herself instead of a man saving her. I know, I know, you're probably rolling your eyes already (I am). But let's not forget that Brown is only 19, and at least it's a new story rather than a remake (like Snow White, for example). I also think this is a great creative outlet for her, and I'd rather she work for herself than other creepy Hollywood directors.
Brown also looks forward to casting other women and performers often overlooked in the industry, which is great news. We're tired of "nepo babies" and seeing the same stars repeatedly. It's about time other talented people are given a chance in the filmdom.
At least Brown can make decisions for herself and actually trust her intuition. Despite the hate she's gotten for getting engaged at a young age, she's still sticking with her love Jake Bongiovi. The same goes for the making of Damsel – she will produce it no matter what people say, simply because she trusts herself. “It’s like—I know I should make this movie now. I know I should write this book now. I know I should do this now,” she tells Glamour UK.
“It’s not because I can’t do it in 10 years; of course I can do it in 10 years,” she adds. “But why, when I know that it’s going to work now? Just like Florence will be there in 10 years. You’ll be able to see my movie in 10 years on TV. And I know that Jake and I will be okay.”
In my opinion, I think people have been going too hard on Brown. Her looks keep getting made fun of, she had to deal with years of bullying for acting too immature (she was a child) in her Stranger Things interviews, and people are judging her for getting engaged too soon. Luckily, the actress has a wonderful support system, including her family and her grandmother, who promised to never dull her "sparkle."
“We were modeled wonderful, loving relationships,” says Brown. “So it’s something that we both had that mutual drive for.” The couple is really close with both sets of parents. “His family were so wonderfully accepting of me and embraced me, and it’s so nice to find a second family in that."
