Months ago, Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp and his friends were spotted on video showing off stickers that read "Hamas is Isis" and "Zionism is Sexy."

The actor's support for Israel came after the terrorist organization Hamas launched a ruthless attack on festivalgoers near the Gaza-Israeli border on October 7, 2023. Schnapp, who is a Jewish American, revealed days later that he was "afraid" for his "brothers and sisters in Israel, who have been senselessly attacked by Hamas."

Unfortunately, Schnapp must have forgotten about his digital footprint later on – and he landed himself in hot water after he was purportedly caught liking an Instagram post that mocked Palestinians. Just as the innocent Israeli festivalgoers did not deserve to get hurt or mocked, nor do the innocent civilians in Gaza. In war, no one wins.

The actor was also seen on video laughing with his friends and sharing stickers that read "Hamas is Isis" and "Zionism is Sexy," prompting the audience members to "boycott Stranger Things."

Noah Schnapp Releases Apology Video

When it was announced that the filming of the final season of Stranger Things had begun, people on social media stated that they would not watch the show because of Schnapp. On January 16, 2023, he released an apology video on TikTok. His words were met with backlash, and many felt he was just saying sorry because the producers made him. Meanwhile, others thought it was a heartfelt apology. Here's what he had to say.

"Hey, guys, it's Noah. I just wanted to come on here super briefly just to discuss everything that's been going on online," Schnapp said. "I feel like my thoughts and beliefs have been so far misconstrued from anything even close to what I believe, and I wanted to just state from my heart how I feel."

"I only want peace and safety and security for all innocent people affected by this conflict," he added. "I've had many open discussions with friends from Palestine-standing background, and I think those are very important conversations to have, and I've learned a lot."

"And one of the takeaways I've had is that we all hope for the same things, that being those innocent people still being held hostage in Gaza to be returned to their families, and equally hope for an end to the loss of innocent life in Palestine. So many of those people being women and children, and it's horrible to see."

Schnapp continued, "And I think with anyone with any ounce of humanity would hope for an end to the hostility on both sides. I stand against any killing of any innocent people, and I hope you guys all do, too. And I just hope to one day see those two groups be able to live harmoniously together in that region."

"And I hope for 2024 online to see people a little more understanding and compassionate and recognize that we're all human, regardless of our race, of our ethnicity, of our background, of our country, of birth, even our sexuality, of anything. We are all human, and we're all the same. And we should all love each other for that and support each other, and stand together, and stand together for humanity and for peace," he concluded.
