In an interview with Vogue, Olivia Culpo revealed her beliefs about marriage: "It’s a covenant. It’s the beginning of the rest of your life—and it’s the union and bond of two people forever.”

When it came to her overall vision for her wedding, she added, “I wanted something that felt as serious as that commitment."

On Saturday, June 29, Culpo made that commitment to San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, who she started dating in 2019.

After a year-long engagement, the couple walked down the chapel aisle in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Culpo worked with Dolce & Gabbana for months to create the perfect dress, which included long sleeves, a voluminous skirt, and a button-lined back.

“I didn’t want it to exude sex in any way, shape, or form,” she said of her dress, which she wore with a 16-foot lace veil. “I wanted it to feel effortless and as if it’s complimenting me, not overpowering me. There’s so much beauty and simplicity.”

She also told Vogue that she wore very little makeup, forgoing mascara and eyebrow gel in favor of a more natural look.

"When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I’m most beautiful, it’s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered, and elegant,” she added.

The formal dress, along with the desire to be married in a church, were the couple's main priorities, according to Culpo. She shared even more stunning moments from their wedding on her Instagram.
