Olivia Munn Shares Raw Photos Of Her Post-Partum Life And Admits She's "Struggling... Yet So Grateful"
Actress Olivia Munn and comedian John Mulaney have been an item since May 2021, and they confirmed in September 2021 that they were expecting a baby together.
The couple welcomed their son Malcolm into the world in November 2021, and they've been smitten with him ever since. This is their first child together, and Olivia is coming forward to admit that it's been quite an adjustment for her as a new mom. She shared some photos on her Instagram story last night that gave a raw glimpse of what her life has looked like lately.
Olivia Munn Admits She's "Struggling" with the Post-Partum Life
Let alone adjusting to being a new mom, having your first child leaves you sleep-deprived, hormonal, and thrilled all at once. Olivia decided to share snippets of her post-partum journey now that her son is four months old. Although we're used to seeing Olivia glammed up and looking picture perfect, her photos told a different story — one that every mom can relate to.
She posted a picture of herself at 1:54am, "wearing the same sweatshirt for three days" that probably has spit-up on it while "everyone's asleep except me." She says she's "so so happy and at the same time I'm struggling," a sentiment that pretty much every mother can relate to. She also writes that it's "weird to feel both simultaneously" and she's "so grateful to have all the happiness to keep me afloat."
She shared two more photos of her spit-up covered shirt and asked if there were any other moms awake who are "also eating late night cookies?"
Olivia has shared many moments of her motherhood journey and her time with John and Malcolm. While her life may seem perfectly put together from her Instagram feed, Olivia wants everyone to know that it's normal to struggle through the post-partum months. Because as much as you love your newborn baby, that doesn't mean that it's easy to adjust to this new life.
